Over the festive season we love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a box of mince pie or two. And this year there are some VERY good books indeed. So we asked all the publishers we work with to nominate one of their favourite reads to enjoy this Christmas. And here they all are in one handy list.

Better still - one lucky gransnetter can win the ENTIRE lot. Yup - that's every book featured on the page. Worth more than £500. In our book (no pun intended) that's a pretty fine haul at any time of year - and absolutely perfect for Christmas.

We just want to know where you like reading. Your answers will be put into the very large hat and a draw (made at random) will take place at midday on Weds 10 December - so the winner will receive their prize in plenty of time for the big day. All the details on the page

I love to curl up in bed with a good book and a nice strong cup of tea, and a delicious box of chocolates for company x

Where I read depends on the weather and time of day, in spring, summer and autumn in an afternoon I read outside in the orchard under my favourite tree. In Winter and in the evenings I curl up in my sitting room in my snuggle chair with a lovely soft blanket I found in TKMax. Later at night I read while snuggled in my bed.

Curl up on the sofa with a hot drink

Love reading curled up in bed, with our cat curled up beside me. Have at least one book on the go, and more on holiday

In the car whilst waiting for a fare (being a taxi driver) I sometimes forget I'm supposed to be working.

I love reading in bed with a cup of tea and chocolates.
I also love reading in the garden when it's summer.

My favourite place is in bed, but I also enjoy reading in an airport waiting lounge, a plane, or train. It makes the time go faster.

curled up on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate is my ideal moment

I used to like to read in bed but find that if I do it for too long now I get a bad neck/shoulder pain the next day so I now bring my book downstairs and sit curled up on the sofa or in my armchair. Not a lot of housework gets done!

My favourite place to read is in my comfy chair in the corner of my living room. Nothing nicer than a cup of tea and a good book.

My favourite place to curl up with a good book is at home in front of a lovely warm fire, on the settee when NOBODY else is around, then I can really get into the book, almost imaging I am there... brilliant, no distractions, I love it!

My favourite place to curl up and read is in an old comfy chair in the corner of my grandughter's bedroom. After a busy day she is clean and comfortable and snuggled up after a bedtime story and looks at me gently as I sit beside her in a soft glow reading my book. Slowly, slowly her eyelids droop as she tries to watch me peacefully reading until off she slips into a contented slumber knowing she is safe within my grasp. I curl up and envelope myself in my adult adventure world, glancing to check on her every few paragraphs and we share half an hour of joint contentment before I tiptoe off to continue my book snug in my own bed.

I have a chaise long part attached to my settee in the dinning room. It overlooks the garden and I love to lie there with lots of cushions and a snugly blanket and read my books. I also love going to bed early to read with a cup of tea.

Stretched out with legs up in my armchair under a snuggly blanket. In the summer with windows open so I can hear the sea, but at this time of year I can just enjoy looking up occasionally to see it. Hot drink next to me and when feeling particularly naughty, a box of chocs. Utter bliss smile

propped up in bed!

In summer I love to curl up in the summer house in the garden with a book, but apart from that, it's got to be in bed as I always need to read before going to sleep.

bucketsmum Thu 27-Nov-14 17:27:38

in a caravan near St Ives bay - hot sunny day - doors open - glorious view of the sea and a glass of O be joyful!

strawberrinan Thu 27-Nov-14 17:23:07

Anywhere because it means I actually have time to read!

bernie777 Thu 27-Nov-14 17:02:09

I'm afraid I'm such a terrible bookworm that in the past I've been known to walk into lamp posts in my efforts to read on the move. But my favourite place is curled up tight in a comfortable chair in front of a roaring fire in the winter and under a shady tree in the garden in really good weather

MollyMandy Thu 27-Nov-14 16:44:18

Favourite place to read is some were, anywhere calm and cosy sitting by a warm fire, lying snug in bed, or on a cruise ship sailing somewhere warm...but may have to make do with being home surrounded by books to choose from!!!

Gossidge Thu 27-Nov-14 16:39:44

Best place is definitely snuggled up in bed in winter with cup of tea & tissues to hand & on super comfy garden chair in the sunshine of the garden in summer with ice cream to hand. What a fantastic prize, the daughters would be thrilled to have an instant library arrive, in this house everything gets shared.

Swaddled in my ancient bed-jacket and woolly socks in my cosy bed!!
