Over the festive season we love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a box of mince pie or two. And this year there are some VERY good books indeed. So we asked all the publishers we work with to nominate one of their favourite reads to enjoy this Christmas. And here they all are in one handy list.

Better still - one lucky gransnetter can win the ENTIRE lot. Yup - that's every book featured on the page. Worth more than £500. In our book (no pun intended) that's a pretty fine haul at any time of year - and absolutely perfect for Christmas.

We just want to know where you like reading. Your answers will be put into the very large hat and a draw (made at random) will take place at midday on Weds 10 December - so the winner will receive their prize in plenty of time for the big day. All the details on the page

Curled up in the settee with my two dogs snoring is the place to be with a big mug of tea!

Boring as it may seem, but I like to curl up in my bed with a good book and a nice cup of tea! Especially when all have gone to sleep & there's no one to disturb me.

In bed with a hot-water bottle. Luxury.

I love reading in the bath with only candlelight in the winter. In the summer I love nothing more than finding a shady spot at the park to curl up in with a blanket and ice lolly.

Unfortunately I can't read in the bath any longer - my spectacles steam up!

I love reading in the bath. I've only dropped a book once!

Curled up in bed underneath my warm duvet, with my cocker spaniels jess and fudge snuggled as book ends either side. Bliss

We have a small rose harbour right at the bottom of the garden its a lovely warm sunny place when the weather is good with a handy sundial next to it to put my iced drink..lovely in the warmer months, by the log fire sitting in grannies old nursing rocking chair the rest of the time. BLISS.

I don't have a favourites place to curl up as anywhere where I can get a good book out and read for a few minutes (or more) is a special place.

Always in bed!

Getting to my favourite place to read a book is often a trial as there is normally a large black and white cat, seemingly full of cement, there already. If I have remembered to but catsticks, I'm lucky and can bribe him out, if not, I have to go and borrow next doors' forklift...and all this for a blissful read on my sofa!

rocking chair beside my bed, overlooking the back garden

linzi54 Tue 25-Nov-14 12:06:12

During winter it has to be curled up on the sofa with the fire on. Bliss!

Susangilley Tue 25-Nov-14 11:55:30

My favourite place is to go to bed early with a cup of cocoa and a big soft cushion behind my head. This just has to be the best place ever to read.

HotPotBottom Tue 25-Nov-14 11:00:08

It's a bit cliché but my favourite place to read is in bed, propped up with lots of pillows, with a cuppa to hand.

hazieb Tue 25-Nov-14 10:49:08

I love curling up in bed when everyone else is asleep and there's no noise whatsoever. I can totally submerse myself in the story and read myself into complete relaxation and eventually sleep.

My favourite place to curl up with a book is on sofa in our kitchen, huddled under a patchwork quilt and basking in the warmth of an incredibly ancient AGA. The rest of the house is not quite so cosy at this time of year!

Rock17 Tue 25-Nov-14 10:09:05

In the conservatory on my rattan chair, with a view of my garden.

purpaula Tue 25-Nov-14 09:22:43

In the summer I read under a shady tree and in the Wintertucked up under a blanket on the sofa...bliss

jbasford Tue 25-Nov-14 08:59:23

Snuggled up in an armchair by the fire, with a gin and tonic and box of
chocs

In my armchair under the christmas tree, so romantic.

My favourite place to read isn't a place, it's a time when I'm me. The time when suddenly I connect with the child I was, the teenager, the young woman and now the mature grandma and I marvel: oh. my. god. I cannot believe how surprised I am at life, how extraordinary and mysterious those stacks of books and crowds of people are. Books and people that's the place for me, somewhere between the pages of the next book.....

floorflock Tue 25-Nov-14 04:47:50

My favourite place to read is in a hot bath, once the water cools top it up and carry on reading...

cC21 Tue 25-Nov-14 04:34:58

I love to read in bed in the morning with my morning cuppa. Love feeling peaceful and relaxed whilst I lose myself in my latest book. This is "me time" before I start my day, although my book is never far away and I love to read anytime, anywhere, no matter where I am. #bookworm. smile

My favourite place to read is snuggled up in bed.
