Over the festive season we love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a box of mince pie or two. And this year there are some VERY good books indeed. So we asked all the publishers we work with to nominate one of their favourite reads to enjoy this Christmas. And here they all are in one handy list.

Better still - one lucky gransnetter can win the ENTIRE lot. Yup - that's every book featured on the page. Worth more than £500. In our book (no pun intended) that's a pretty fine haul at any time of year - and absolutely perfect for Christmas.

We just want to know where you like reading. Your answers will be put into the very large hat and a draw (made at random) will take place at midday on Weds 10 December - so the winner will receive their prize in plenty of time for the big day. All the details on the page

In the summer I love reading on the beach, but in the winter I like to be curled up on the couch in front of the fire!

In summer, in the garden. in winter, on the sofa.

I like reading in my bed because I can drift off to sleep easily.

I love reading in bed, snuggled up under the duvet, with a mug of hot chocolate.

I like reading just about anywhere but my favourite place has to be curled up on the sofa with a nice glass of wine, my idea of absolute bliss. smile

I like to read reclining on the settee with a hot drink beside me in the evenings. I also like to read in bed last thing at night.

i love curling up on the sofa in front of the fire with a good read, and an optional throw for comfort.

In my bed, always. My idea of heaven is curling up in my warm bed with a Jane Austen or an interesting biography. Bliss.

It depends on the season: in the Spring and Summer, I love to go and sit outside in the garden( even if it means having a blanket over my legs), just relaxing with a good book, a glass of wine and the birds singing beautifully in the background.
in the Autumn and Winter, I put on my favourite comfy clothes, grab a cuppa tea or hot chocolate, depending on how cold it is and then curl up in the corner of my favourite sofa with a duvet wrapped around me and I become completely oblivious to the outside world. i just love it and just wish I could do much more often.

Reading is best done when in a comfortable place, and position. For me that would be on a sunny beach, resting on a sun lounger. Or at home in bed, with a nice cup of tea nearby (a wonderful refreshment).

Anywhere hot - either in front of a roaring fire in winter or on a beach in a comfortable chair in the sun. I was once so engrossed in a book on a beach in Australia I didn't notice my husband & nephew running off to rescue a man in difficulties in the surf & coming back again.

I like to read on lying on the sofa, in the loo, in bed, sitting outside, waiting for appointments, on holiday, at work. I love reading so much I will do it anywhere!

Through the dark Winter months, I love to read in my warm and well lit sitting room, curled up on my leather chair in the corner, completely lost in a good book.

Sorry pressed post before I'd finished. So now I hope to get back to reading anywhere. I used to have one book in the kitchen, one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom.

I am coming out of a difficult period of my life. Before this, reading was an immense part of my life but during the difficult period my concentration went completely and I just couldn't read. Now I'm just beginning to be able to read again and am now confident that it can be as important as it was before.

Reading whilst relaxing on holiday, whether it is a country cottage or on a beach.

My favourite place to curl up with a good book is bed! Under a goose down duvet with a soft fluffy pillow with the lamp angled just right and with a room temperature that's not too hot so you need to snuggle down! My idea of heaven!

I love reading in my shed at the end of the garden, especially if the rain is drumming on the roof.

Speckle83 Fri 21-Nov-14 20:54:43

My favourite place is curled up in bed!!

toria100 Fri 21-Nov-14 19:57:34

My favourite place to read is in a sunny place in the garden sheltered from the wind. As I live in the North East of Scotland I don't get many opportunities. Its usually too cold even in the summer.

boozie Fri 21-Nov-14 19:37:57

At this time of year snuggled up in my favourite armchair with my furry lined boot slippers on (feet get cold!), cushion behind my back, drink at the side and dog (and hubby) asleep!
Wouldn't it be absolute heaven to get all these books

In the winter I curl up on the sofa in the daytime or early evening and snuggle in bed at night for bedtime reading. Every now and then we visit my better half''s family cottage in Wales, and there I curl up on a rug in front of their woodburning stove and read by gas-light and/or candlelight - it's very oldy-worldy and isolated and I love the peace & quiet!

WackyJacky Fri 21-Nov-14 17:52:47

Curled up in bed where it is quiet leaving hubby to watch his football/sport downstairs.
