Over the festive season we love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a box of mince pie or two. And this year there are some VERY good books indeed. So we asked all the publishers we work with to nominate one of their favourite reads to enjoy this Christmas. And here they all are in one handy list.

Better still - one lucky gransnetter can win the ENTIRE lot. Yup - that's every book featured on the page. Worth more than £500. In our book (no pun intended) that's a pretty fine haul at any time of year - and absolutely perfect for Christmas.

We just want to know where you like reading. Your answers will be put into the very large hat and a draw (made at random) will take place at midday on Weds 10 December - so the winner will receive their prize in plenty of time for the big day. All the details on the page

I love to read whilst snuggled up in bed

I enjoy reading in lots of different places, I have a book in my bag so that I can read when I am waiting for my appointments, a pile of books and magazines on my bedside table and a pile in the lounge.

I only like to read at home and in the evenings. I always have one book next to the bath (currently 'Molly Fox's Birthday') and one upstairs for reading before I go to sleep; right now that's 'The Children's Book' by AS Byatt. I read two books concurrently because our bathroom is downstairs (oddly designed house) and it annoys me to be snuggled up in bed and realize that my book is downstairs!

In/on my bed - although we've just moved so at the moment it's surrounded by a sea of boxes!

I love relaxing in the bath with a good book and a glass of Rioja - not that it happens often enough sadly!

i like reading anywhere if i had to choose a favourite it would probably be curled up on my sofa, but i take my current reading everywhere i go if i am in the middle of a good story you never no when you will have 5 mins i prefer reading to watching tv and usually read about 3 books a week.

With my granddaughter at bedtime, she chooses the story and, as her reading has improved, we read it together, then another, then another! Grandma's are good like that.

Jessica321 Tue 09-Dec-14 22:41:39

Somewhere where there is peace and quiet so I can fully immerse myself in the story.

I like to read curled up on the sofa in Florida - looking out the window at a swimming pool, a golf course with a huge lake and occasionally an alligator! smile

Any place, any where, any time... nothing better than reading... unless you have little monsters jumping up and down on you!!

In bed before I go to sleep usually or if I have a quiet afternoon curled up on my sofa.

sheridarby Tue 09-Dec-14 21:51:23

My favourite place to read is curled up in or on my bed

I love to sit in our dining room, warm and cosy with my feet up in front of the window with hopefully the sun shining through.

I stoke up the woodburner when everyone is out and I tuck up my feet and snuggle into the sofa with a great big cuppa. Blissful reading!

bigbenuk Tue 09-Dec-14 21:28:44

I read my books in front of the log fire this time of year, but mostly late at night in bed.

TONKATOL Tue 09-Dec-14 21:26:12

Depends on time of year and whether home or away. My absolutely favourite place to read a book is anywhere when away somewhere sunny on holiday. I love reading on the beach or by the pool and then love to go back to the hotel late afternoon and spend a lazy hour or so lying on the bed reading before going out to eat.
