One of our very favourite features is our annual round up of the best children's books of the year

This year we've featured you over 30 fantastic books for children of all ages, from babies and preschoolers - to young adults and teens. Great ideas for Christmas shopping. AND three lucky gransnetters get to win the lot...each set is worth over £350 and is sure to keep the family (and the wider family and the neighbours' kids...) happy for a very long time.

Full details on the page

To enter the draw - which will be made at midday on Tuesday 16 December - all you have to do is answer one simple question.

What's your favourite children's book of all time?

Maybe it's one that you loved as a child. One that you read to your own children. Or one that you read with your grandchildren. Old, new, classic or little-known...we look forward to compiling a list of gransnetters all-time favourites.

So much choice but I think one that has stayed with me is The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. I used to look for the tallest tree whenever we went to a forest/woods and hope it might be "the one"!

My favourite is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.

I loved The Just So Stories. Just as enjoyable for my grandchildren as it was for me when a child.

I love Peepo by Janet and Alan Ahlberg, the rhyming text and nostalgic illustrations making a great book to share with children of all ages.

My most memorable childhood book has to be the Magic Faraway tree - hoping the upcoming movie does not shatter my imagination/dreams of this beautiful book! x

The book I loved as a child was The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, it really fired my imagination and I couldn't wait for the next chapter. It was the first book that I got engrossed in and lead to a lifetime love of books and reading.

To this day I still love a physical book to hold, I always use a bookmark and I make sure that no matter how well-read a book of mine is, it still looks pristine, no creases or evidence that it has been read.

I have a real respect of the written word and it all started with The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe!

my children and now my grandchildren absolutely love The Very Jolly Postman and The Very Jolly Christmas Postman. Considering how far the books in our house tend to get spread around, I was always surprised that these books kept all the little messages inside. I think it was because the girls loved reading them so much that they really took care of them.
