p.s since there are so many plot twists and turns in this one, remember not to give away any spoilers on the thread! ...or clearly signpost them so a reader has time to avert their eyes if need be!
I didn't receive one either. It sounds like a good read, so think I shall buy it. I was a interested to discover that this month's web chat and book give-away is Celia Imrie's 'Not Quit Nice', which I bought last week.
Shysal just to say Celia Imrie is a bonus giveaway/webchat rather than book club (which is The Girl on the Train)
And I will check whether those copies have been sent out yet because you're right - not seen any mentions on here.
Meanwhile...wondering if we should keep this thread open for most of the questions but start a second to run alongside for any that contain spoilers? What do you think?!
Ohhhh! It was the 'this month' that threw me (in my befuddled jet-lagged state) Anyway - we are very happy indeed to have Celia coming in AND to be doing The Girl on the Train for book club!
Just received my book. Thank you gransnet, husband and son will enjoy it, I have just finished it on my kindle. With all the hype I could not wait to see if I had won one. It was a riveting read, I could not put it down until I had finished it. SPOILER ALERT However I was disappointed with the ending I would have preferred justice over revenge. I will come back with a question later when everyone else has had a chance to read it. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
Thank you so much for my copy of The Girl on the Train that arrived this morning. I have read good reviews so look forward to starting it. Am currently reading The Ship that I was also lucky enough to win. An interesting novel that cries out for a sequel! I will pass it on to our teenage DGDs.
My copy has just come too - thank you so much GN. Look forward to reading it as soon as I have finished with the Celia Imrie one which came yesterday. Such riches!
