We hope you've all been enjoying this fantastic book (we certainly have!) - do add your comments and questions for the author Paula Hawkins below.

More about the book itself here.

p.s since there are so many plot twists and turns in this one, remember not to give away any spoilers on the thread! ...or clearly signpost them so a reader has time to avert their eyes if need be!

Received Girl on a Train this morning, many thanks, look forward to reading it.

Greenfinch Sat 07-Mar-15 12:55:51

Thanks from me too. Mine has just arrived and the Celia Imrie one arrived yesterday. Don't know which to read first !

MaggieP Sat 07-Mar-15 12:40:25

Thank you very much, just arrived this morning. Looking forward to reading as soon as I finish The Silkworm!

Have to finish a Merrily Watkins book, but The Girl on the Train is now at the top of my TBR pile.

Gagagran Sat 07-Mar-15 12:11:55

My copy has just come too - thank you so much GN. Look forward to reading it as soon as I have finished with the Celia Imrie one which came yesterday. Such riches!

Thank you so much for my copy of The Girl on the Train that arrived this morning. I have read good reviews so look forward to starting it.
Am currently reading The Ship that I was also lucky enough to win. An interesting novel that cries out for a sequel! I will pass it on to our teenage DGDs.

Cari grin

I am reading this at the moment - got it on my kindle. It's a page turner!

appygran Sat 07-Mar-15 10:51:37

Just received my book. Thank you gransnet, husband and son will enjoy it, I have just finished it on my kindle. With all the hype I could not wait to see if I had won one. It was a riveting read, I could not put it down until I had finished it. SPOILER ALERT However I was disappointed with the ending I would have preferred justice over revenge. I will come back with a question later when everyone else has had a chance to read it. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

PS books going out today so watch your letterboxes (not constantly - that may get quite dull)

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Wed 04-Mar-15 10:21:30

Ohhhh! It was the 'this month' that threw me (in my befuddled jet-lagged state) Anyway - we are very happy indeed to have Celia coming in AND to be doing The Girl on the Train for book club!

Greenfinch Tue 03-Mar-15 17:16:22

PO parcel was not the book. sad

Galen Tue 03-Mar-15 14:23:17

I haven't had one

shysal Tue 03-Mar-15 14:02:03

Cari, I said Celia Imrie's book was webchat/give-away! smile

I would not be in favour of a second thread, as I am weak-willed and prefer not to be tempted to cheat!

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 03-Mar-15 12:39:08

Shysal just to say Celia Imrie is a bonus giveaway/webchat rather than book club (which is The Girl on the Train)

And I will check whether those copies have been sent out yet because you're right - not seen any mentions on here.

Meanwhile...wondering if we should keep this thread open for most of the questions but start a second to run alongside for any that contain spoilers? What do you think?!

harrigran Tue 03-Mar-15 12:09:07

Nor me, was looking forward to it.

merlotgran Mon 02-Mar-15 18:11:45

Have they actually been sent out? I haven't seen any 'Thank you for my book' posts.

Ana Mon 02-Mar-15 16:43:38

Shysal, me too, I've just started reading 'Not Quite Nice'. Must be psychic...

Ana Mon 02-Mar-15 16:42:26

(Bought the book myself, from a supermarket)

shysal Mon 02-Mar-15 16:42:05

I didn't receive one either. It sounds like a good read, so think I shall buy it.
I was a interested to discover that this month's web chat and book give-away is Celia Imrie's 'Not Quit Nice', which I bought last week.

Ana Mon 02-Mar-15 16:41:37

Well I've read it and really enjoyed it, but it's hard to think of any questions for the author which wouldn't give at least some of the plot away!

Greenfinch Mon 02-Mar-15 16:40:32

I've something to collect at the PO tomorrow. Hoping it will be that.

tanith Mon 02-Mar-15 16:29:40

Me neither! I might download to my kindle ..

numberplease Mon 02-Mar-15 16:26:56

Or me! But I`m planning to buy it when I go into town.

Jane10 Mon 02-Mar-15 16:23:26

Me neither!

appygran Mon 02-Mar-15 16:20:19

Nor me but I have downloaded it to my kindle and am really enjoying it so far.
