How many others would be interested in reading Harry & Meghan's biography as I would ?

I read online this morning that Meghan wants their book released now.

When I saw that, Sparklefizz I wasn't the least bit surprised.

Imagine the panic when somebody tipped her off about Lady C's book.

Totally true no money in fading away into obscurity am very sad I thought Harry would have had more sence but as they say Love is Blind !!!

Sparklefizz Wed 13-May-20 10:34:29

Exactly!! merlotgran

M is just so obvious!

EllanVannin Wed 13-May-20 10:44:28

Lady C doesn't wrap anything up so her book should be good.

maddyone Wed 13-May-20 11:06:19

Now Lady C’s book will be much more interesting. I think I’ll read that one.
Meghan might want her book publishing now to get in front of Lady C, or because they need the money to start rolling in. A world pandemic is not the time to kick start a career of talk shows, interviews, and lectures.

Sparklefizz Wed 13-May-20 11:41:16

Lady C is usually very catty !

When I watched the book being read to Archie, my first thought was, what a boring and confusing book to read a one year old.

Mine used to like bright colours, and animals/things they could clearly identify, and repeat the names of, or repeat the sound the animal makes. They also liked the books with a flap to turn up and to "find" the dog, or whatever.

I think Archie agrees with me, as he clearly wanted to read another book. (Probably not an Oprah gift). People commented that it was a well read book as it seemed to have been chewed round the edges. Maybe the dogs liked it. grin

Is Lady C catty ? Is criticism catty ?

Sparklefizz Wed 13-May-20 12:25:21

I agree, seacliff. Archie clearly wasn't interested in that book and I thought it was very confusing with pictures a baby would find hard to recognise. I believe it is supposed to be a "woke" book, but for the life of me I couldn't see why! Nor do I think the poor little chap should be subjected to right-on opinions at this stage. Can't he just enjoy picture books or The Mr Men like other children?

Annie Criticism isn't catty in itself, but let's just say that Lady C puts it in a caustic manner which is often quite amusing.

Anniebach Wed 13-May-20 12:32:38

Yes Sparkle I agree but would it be said of a man ?

If a man criticised David Beckham and a woman criticised
Victoria Beckham , who would be the catty one ?

seacliff Wed 13-May-20 12:43:11

Sparklefizz - I had to look up what a "woke" book is, I wasn't too sure what it means.

Well according to Wikepedia " Woke (/ˈwoʊk/) as a political term of African-American origin refers to a perceived awareness of issues concerning social justice and racial justice. It is derived from the African-American Vernacular English expression "stay woke", whose grammatical aspect refers to a continuing awareness of these issues." !!!!

Poor little Archie. I hope he gets to have some purely fun and happy books and toys to read and play with, when the cameras aren't around.

Not sure here is the appropriate thread for this comment, however didn't feel I could start yet another one pertaining to them! Did nearly choke on my coffee this morning when read that it's their intention to start lobbying for sustainable travel, what the shock Lobby yourselves!!!! Bah! "we could all do better" People in glass houses and all that!

merlotgran Sat 05-Sept-20 15:20:33

Maybe they could come up with some ideas for sustainable quarantine while they're at it. grin

I don't think Harry has the slightest idea how unpopular he has become. The Telegraph has kindly kept its readers informed of his movements: planting forget-me-nots in memory of his mother; his sadness at missing the opening of something Very Important in England; how sorry he is to miss Balmoral (again) but Meghan is just so busy; (cleaning all those bathrooms?).
Obviously he still believes someone cares.

merlotgran Sat 05-Sept-20 17:21:55

They have given the pandemic as their excuse for not going to Balmoral but whenever has hopping on a private jet been a problem?

Calendargirl Sat 05-Sept-20 18:38:24

Read somewhere today, (not the Telegraph as thanks to XR wasn’t able to get my copy) that Harry is now speaking with an American ‘twang’.

Obv Meghan has been coaching him.

I have ordered ‘Finding Freedom’ on my Libby app. It will be with me in about 8 weeks.

Fuchsiarose Sun 20-Sept-20 13:34:37

Not read it, but hear Diana deco coming soon. Gravy train floating on water.....

Anniebach Sun 20-Sept-20 14:05:29

I read they are doing a Diana for Netflix
