How many others would be interested in reading Harry & Meghan's biography as I would ?

Nanny27 Tue 05-May-20 10:12:33

If it was the last book on the planet.... NO!

rowyn Tue 05-May-20 10:13:29

Ah, thank you merlotgran. Saw the smileys but missed the bit about emphasis. Just practising now. rowyn

mtp123 Tue 05-May-20 10:13:53

NO NO NO!

TrendyNannie6 Tue 05-May-20 10:18:03

I certainly wouldn’t buy it, but yes I’d read it, if I borrowed it from some one else, but I always thought you had to have lived a bit to be able to write a biography, maybe I’m wrong

I wish them well in their new life but I think they are self deluded to imagine that the world is going to hang on their every word.

While they were part of the royal family and taking an active role they could have had a lot of influence now who are they really yes a prince and Diana’s son but that will wear then after a time a prince without castles and palaces isn’t half so interesting and she a z list actress.

Finding freedom my @rse

Not a chance.
I used to like Harry ( mainly for his attendance at the rugby TBH!)
I have never seen her on TV or ever will but she comes over as spoilt, manipulative & attention seeking.
Hopefully they will stay in US & we can forget about them- until they run out of money as her career fades anyway & they want to come back to freeload again.
I am actually a great fan of the Royal family but very disappointed in him for letting himself be used this way.

If it appears in our local charity shop I might buy it, but at the moment it would just make me cross.

As for Burrell, Anniebach, he’s a disgrace to the profession of butler.

soldiersailor Tue 05-May-20 10:28:35

I would much rather read a book on the delights of watching paint dry.

Quizzer Tue 05-May-20 10:31:29

Who cares!!

sarahellenwhitney Tue 05-May-20 10:33:04

I for one will not read anything this couple put in print .The media does not hold back giving the public info on the Sussex's. Enough is enough.

westendgirl Tue 05-May-20 10:39:00

Why , when there are so many other books worth reading ?

Houndi Tue 05-May-20 10:39:41

I usedcto admire Harry now unfortunately he become a self entitled prick. Why are we interested. It seems she can't live without publicity after all its oxygen to her.As for the title pure self indulgence they are not Nelson Mandela

Heket Tue 05-May-20 10:41:32

Yes, I will. Harry has every right to protect his family from the horror of losing his mother to the rabid MSM - and the ugly racism shown against Dodi and Meghan makes me ashamed to be British.

Fair play to them. Standing up to abuse and removing themselves and their child from the gross bias against them was admirable and earned Harry my respect.

Flakesdayout Tue 05-May-20 10:45:33

No I wont read it. Waste of money, time and effort. I could say more but am being polite.

hopstone Tue 05-May-20 10:47:30

A definite NO from me!

Anniebach Tue 05-May-20 10:50:20

Racism shown to Dodi Fayed ?

maddyone Tue 05-May-20 10:50:42

Haha Heker they removed themselves indeed, into the most paparazzi ridden city in the world. You couldn’t make it up!

Grany Tue 05-May-20 10:51:30

Yes from me.
Agree Heket

Charleygirl5 Tue 05-May-20 10:53:53

No- I may read it if I picked it up for next to nothing in a charity shop. I would not waste my hard-earned money buying it.

What have they got to say? They have known each other such a short period of time.

georgia101 Tue 05-May-20 10:54:43

LOL soldiersailor, I so agree. I've never thought the press were as biased against Megan's background as she would have us believe. Yes her colour was mentioned sometimes, but other people have their distinguishing features mentioned too, no matter what the colour of their skin. From what I read it was never mentioned in a disparaging way, just as a fact. She was most often talked of as being beautiful. Too sensitive by half! Harry has been weak to be so influenced by her as to walk away from his much loved brother, and the rest of his family. I think he will sooner rather than later regret this, but will probably stick with her because of his love for his son, and to save face. It's a sad tale.

merlotgran Tue 05-May-20 10:58:59

I'm amazed how many people are taken in by them.

HootyMcOwlface Tue 05-May-20 11:00:28

I really liked her to start with, but that big white wedding, the long veil, walking on her own, that was the first time I felt a bit 'meh'. For a divorcee I thought that really was inappropriate and OTT. She wanted to be the new Diana, she loves being centre stage, and can't handle being second fiddle to W&K.

4allweknow Tue 05-May-20 11:01:48

Definite No from me. Publicity seeking and nothing else.

dizzygran Tue 05-May-20 11:02:15

oh dear. I rather like them. Harry had such a bad time when his parents split up and Diana died - I did meet her - in a line up when she visited to open a unit - she was beautiful, with a lovely smile and shook all our hands. My daughter gave her a posy and she was really good with the children. Harry has lots of her good points. I thought Meghan would do a lot to bring about a change to racial bullying when they married - initially there was a change. So much goes on that we know nothing about. I don't think they were given a chance. I would like to see Harry come home and continue his work with the forces. I will read the book with an open mind.

Just wondering, did they actually have anything to do with it or is it an unauthorised biography? People seem to be able to write what they like about who they like nowadays! Anything to cash in.
