Oh dear. I’m half afraid to admit that we took my MILs horses and dogs to her funeral. She loved them so much it just felt right.

The funeral was at a Green burial place, in case anyone is shocked.

If it felt right, good for you. It's not like you were doing things on camera like the RF.

I think the personal touch is nice. Sorry if I suggested otherwise. I wonder if the animals understand the person is gone? I know they would understand that everyone is sad.

Could you imagine cats at a funeral though!?

Dogs and horses can be trained... but a cat!? It made me laugh just imagining cats at a funeral. It makes me laugh also that they think they are divine, but they have to clean themselves after (you know what) in the most undignified way.

I do like cats and have some, before anyone accuses me of being anti cat. But they do their own thing. Cats at a funeral. The idea made me smile.

Ok dogs and bereavement. My two certainly have picked up on the sadness around us. But I feel there’s more to their changed behaviour than simple reaction to a busier home with higher emotions than usual. The young male lab began guarding me as soon as he came home, total first. He also went straight to mr i’s chair and sat on it, something he’s not allowed to do (well he is now).
I was moved by the image of Emma, the Queen’s pony and the two corgis. A friend’s funeral included two golden labs who escorted her coffin, then lay motionless either side of the coffin throughout the hour long service

Why is anyone being sent to the naughty step? I thought it might be me who was reported for imagining very naughty cats at a funeral. But if so, a sense of humour is severely lacking

I think animals do sense things. I felt the inclusion of the animals was a lovely moment.

I haven’t reported anyone. Volver has reported Callistemon, allegedly for accusing her of being in a clique.

I made a joke about being sent to the naughty step. Personally I think it’s all rather silly and think perhaps some should just take a step back for a bit.

Anyway, aren’t dogs wonderful; they definitely know and feel a lot more than some give them credit for. They know when someone’s died I’m sure.
