I took David Nicholls' new book "You Are Here" on holiday and it was a good read - not as good as "One Day" or "Us" but still very good.

Where the Crawdads Sing, Lady Tan's Cirlce of Women and The island of Sea Women.

'A Year of Living Simply' by Kate Humble.

Have always embraced the actions/ideas of simple living, so enjoyed hearing and identifying with others thinking the same very much.

Deaf sentence by David Lodge.
Far,far more to this book than first appears.
Well worth reading.

Where the Crawdads Sing, Lady Tan's Cirlce of Women and The island of Sea Women.

The Island of Sea Women is a really good read, full of historical facts that I had no idea about and a cracking story. I would recommend it for anyone taking a holiday to S Korea.

Those Who Are Loved by Victoria Hislop is set in Greece, but again about women during Greece’s struggle for independence. Has similarities and again was an insight on an area of that as holiday makers we might not know about.

Oops, last sentence lost some words! ‘ area of History’

Another vote for a Man Called Ove. Also loved the film starring Tom Hanks. They changed the name to Otto though.

I loved this, recommended by a friend at book group. A story in which nothing exciting happens! A suburban family in the 1930s go on their usual holiday to Bognor for two weeks in September. The shadow of the First World War and the, unknown by them, imminent Second World War somehow colours the reader’s perspective. You wonder what will happen to them when war strikes, in the future even if the book has finished.
I bought it from Persephone books, a wonderful publisher with interesting books you order directly, I now have regular emails recommending books. Anything I have bought I have enjoyed.

I am ploughing my way through Wolf Hall , it's a great read.
I am confined to base so it's perfect.
Sometimes the style is hard.Different characters all speaking in one paragraph.
It's hard to know who is who. The research she must have carried out is phenomenal .

I enjoyed this book with my little ones to help them learn to read pretty easy. The enjoyed it. amzn.to/43HwIh5

Definitely anything by Ellie griffiths. Am working my way through LJRoss detective Ryan books. Really good.
