Sunset song trilogy? There's a Glasgow based historical trilogy and the name briefly escapes me. I shall return

Asta's Book - Barbara Vine, would certainly fulfil the historical, psychological requirements you're looking for. I'd definitely recommend it as an absorbing read.

If you want to go really old school you could look on Ebay or similar for Norah Lofts trilogy "The Town House, The House at Old Vine and The House at Sunset" Well researched historical.

If you want. A thrilling mixture of history and fantasy, you could not do better than Manda Scott’s Boudica novels, but there are four, not three. Beautifully drawn characters, impeccable research and mesmerising writing. I’ve just read them all for the second time and will no doubt read them again at some time.

I fancy getting into a trilogy to read. As I’m confined to barracks with dh for a while
Any recommendations please?

I like anything really, ie historic, fantasy, psychological , thrillers etc.
nothing too heavy or demanding though 🤯.
