The Hallmarked Man, latest Robert Galbraith.

In the newspapers everywhere at the moment (don't think I can post the link but this was the Guardian) there's a report about the Met and Freemasonary and also very worryingly reference to the unsolved murder of a private detective in a car park in east London. Hope JK won't do anything nasty to us....

I raced through it, and then began re reading it, calmly, grasping the characters and the interwoven plot. JKR is like Dickens - by chapter three you have a cast of hundreds, and really need a list to refer to.

Really enjoyed it, listened on Audible . I needed to make notes and even then, started all over again. I didn't mind that a bit as Robert Glenister actually 'becomes' Robyn, Strike, Murphy and the wonderful Pat. I agree with a previous poster, the characterisation in the television series is spot on. Diagrams and notes helped with the complicated plot turns. I love the pops JKR makes at establishment figures and some obnoxious types and the sympathy for vulnerable people.

I am 48th on the list to borrow it from my local library so no spoilers please.

I’m listening to it at the moment. I usually read the books, so I’ll see how it goes.

Having read all the previous Strike books I have just finished reading 'The Hallmarked Man'. I really liked it and preferred it to 'The Running Grave'.

Lots of characters and I found it a bit difficult at times to remember who was who. Plenty of sub-plot and intrigue to keep up the interest.

I don't want to say any more as I might start giving out spoilers.

Yes it is a big book

I downloaded it and am finding it slow going. But I'll keep going.

Really looking forward to reading it. Love the series.

Mine has just arrived. I have read all of the Strike books. Looking forward to this one.

We'll probably get it, we both read her Galbraith books. I have found some of her plots a bit too multi stranded at times making the narrative overly complicated. I really loved Troubled Blood, for me that was definitely her best, I keep hoping she will produce another of that ilk. They transfer well to the dramatisations and the casting of Strike and Robin, spot on!

haven't bought the book yet but I love the Strike series on telly.

I started reading it last night. I am still only a little way in and I am enjoying it very much so far.

I shall be reading it at bedtime after I’ve finished my book club book, it’s a weighty tome, can’t wait.

I’m 3 hours in on audible and enjoying a lot.

I finished listening to it on Audible yesterday, Jaxjacky. I found it more complicated than previous books, but it's a good yarn.
