What's your fave malt, super? I've got Ardbeg in my head (nearly a rhyme!) because you did tell us once, but I'm not sure that's right. Mine's Double Matured Dalwhinnie, if anyone should happen upon a bottle they don't need.

Butter Wouldn't a Champagne party do us all a lot of good? I don't know anyone in the village who has a lap-top. Not many off us have broadband either. Never mind, we seem to cope in spite of being behind the times.

I am with you there baggy Macallan and Dalwhinnie are two of my favorites but also like an odd Lagavullin depends on my mood.

I like the peaty Islay malts.

I like the peaty one that begins with L, can't remember the name this morning, and no bottle around to refer to! I think it's from Islay

Laphroaig - I agree. The others are equally difficult to spell!

Annobel Laphroaig is one of my husband's favourites. Glass Macallan is a good choice. I also like Talisker...

Hi Anagram - it looks as if you will fit in very well! Not that we are all alcoholics by any means, but we do like a tipple, even if it's a virtual one - we are not all mad all the time! cheers!

Sundown - when I lived in a tropical country we always had a 'sundowner' (usually G&T), but there the sun always set at 6.30 give or take a few minutes. You'd think that I'd have abandoned that mindset after 40+ years back in England!

Yes, Annobel, you could get very thirsty if you waited for sundown in summer in this country!
