I've just written a reply, went to look for a smiley face and my msg dissapeared! So you might not be hearing too much from me just yet, any idea what went wrong, or is it just me?

grannyjules Warm welcome from Kintyre. Is it possible that the computer decided to play silly b's? When you wish to add a smiley face [or any other] you need to type smile in brackets - and so on. Then preview the message. If you're happy with it, go to post message. If all well with your computer, you'll soon get the hang of things. Have fun

How nice to see some new names appearing on these threads, welcome to BlueSky and elly2, hope you enjoy the time spend with us all. I find it quite amazing just how much time I spend on GN - probably to the detriment of everything else around the house!

That's the trouble, isn't it? It's addictive! I've only been here for a short while but feel deprived if I have to be away from my PC for too long....

As a relative newbie I would like to say how welcoming everyone on here has been towards me, so I hope the other newbies will feel able to jump in and start posting. There is a thread for every mood and always someone to chat to as well as words of support when you need it. The only problem is that I am finding it more and more addictive and now that I have progressed to an i phone I find myself looking at it all the time! Haven't yet mastered the art of posting on my i phone, failing eyesight won't allow that!
