glassortwo Thu 17-May-12 14:28:44

soop I bet you made her day when you were praising him to the hilt.

glassortwo Thu 17-May-12 14:32:03

soop psst I hope she didnt read the hospital party thread grin

soop Thu 17-May-12 14:34:11

Praising my surgeon to the hilt, was a priviledge. He really is a thoroughly decent member of the medical profession. Not only does he make his patients well...he makes them laugh. And we all know that laughter is the best medicine. grin

nanachrissy Thu 17-May-12 15:01:32

Lovely pics soop, it's really nice to put faces to names on here, and you and Bags are both gorgeous! sunshine

Anagram Thu 17-May-12 15:22:58

Never mind the hospital party thread, glass! Wasn't there mention of a Mr M possibly attending Bags's garden party in the altogether.....?wink

Feeling manic, but back in the land of the living....... just!

soop and B - great photo.

Annobel Thu 17-May-12 18:05:07

Had a busy time at CAB but had to leave early to spend an hour in the dentist's chair having two crumbling teeth rebuilt. Right side of face is still completely numb and have just dribbled tea down my front. blush

jeni Thu 17-May-12 18:31:04

Hooray! This weeks work is over. If I EVER say I've agreed to 4days tribunals again, take me out and shoot me! I'll obviously have lost the plot completely!

Butternut Thu 17-May-12 18:34:39

anno - Hope you stop dribbling soon! grin..... and that all will be comfortable.

Annobel Thu 17-May-12 18:44:52

Thanks, Butty. I'm not risking soup! Simply having pasta with pesto for evening meal.

nanachrissy Thu 17-May-12 19:54:06

Annobel Chocolate cake is very soft and soothing! grin grin

Elegran Thu 17-May-12 19:57:44

Annobel I once went straight from the dentist to a bowl of mulligatawny soup with a half-numb mouth. Vary odd sensation.

whenim64 Thu 17-May-12 20:30:49

jeni grin

Annobel hope you can manage your pasta smile

jeni Thu 17-May-12 21:22:02

Well I'm exhausted!
I'm to bed!
Four days is at least one too many!
I'm starting to think its time I retired! (again)
Perhaps il feel better after my jubilee trip on QM?

Butternut Thu 17-May-12 21:24:12

When are you off on the QM?

jeni Thu 17-May-12 21:27:15

5 June!

Butternut Thu 17-May-12 21:29:29

Oooh, not long to wait!

jeni Thu 17-May-12 21:48:31

Thank goodness. I rally do need the break!

Annobel Thu 17-May-12 22:24:02

chrissy, I just restrained myself from stopping off at Waitrose for something soothing! And when, the pasta went down a treat - inside me, not down my shirt. grin

whenim64 Thu 17-May-12 22:36:38

Annobel smile

Getting DD sent off to her Transition Sports Day at the high school she will attend from August. It's blowy and wet outside at the moment so I hope some of their day will be indoors. This evening she's supposed to be dinghy sailing. hmm If the wind doesn't lessen a bit, I think the options will be a land-based sailing lesson or lots of capsizes and wet kids. She'd be OK as she has a drysuit but most of them wear wetsuits. The water in Loch Long is not warm. By September it will be at its warmest, but even then you don't want to be dunked for very long. Oh well.....

jeni Fri 18-May-12 10:02:21

That's half the fun of sailing. When my dh and I used to sail merlin rockets in the seventies, we would sail the frostbite season without wet or dry suits, just trousers sweaters and anoraks! Oh! And the old Mae west life jackets!

soop Fri 18-May-12 10:40:39

Bags smile for DD...

Well girls and boys, an enormous box was delivered moments ago. I'm over the moon with it's contents. The goodies include a special Gin [far too strong for the likes of a little old lady]...wink fab selection of chocs [wish I could share] evil grin and eight marvellous books. The Good Granny Guide had me chortling from page one.

THANK YOU Josie, Cari and Geraldine ...you have made my day grin I am tickled pink! flowers

Mr soop says maybe we should buy shares in Gransnet, given that Facebook is about to make somebody rich beyond the dreams of avarice [which we're most certainly not!]
