Where do you buy your groceries from?

We have a very famous grocery store close by. But according to my daughter it only stocks stale and expired stuff. She has been after my life to order groceries online. Can anyone help me? Where do you generally shop? Thanks for your time smile

I do a online delivery from Tesco or Asda after I have been to Aldi to see what I can get there first.

I find the online is great for me as it is a nightmare taking my 2 GC for a weeks shopping for 6 plus, my FIL's groceries, and of course I am not tempted to buy anything other than I need, the delivery charge more than pays for its self.

I probably buy stale and expired stuff.....hmm

A bit of everywhere, Alid occasionally , Tesco most weeks , Sainsbury and Asda now and then.. Hubby complains about Tesco bread not being fresh but he can't be bothered to go elsewhere so he just continues to complain..

I live almost next door to a Waitrose, so apart from a local butcher and fishmonger, that's where everything comes from.

Anagram grin

Lilac Tell us which one it is! Please!!! smile

I shop at Waitrose. Their Quick Check saves so much time!

Soupy Wed 02-May-12 16:55:19

Waitrose for me, with occasional bits from M&S, Tesco and our local butcher.

DH also goes to Sainsburys and the Co-op but then he is retired!!

Ariadne Wed 02-May-12 17:25:10

Oh, Sainsburys, but fruit and veg and fish for DH from M&S (yes, I do know I'm lucky to be able to afford to!)

Love Waitrose, but there isn't one near enough. Hate Tesco, Morrison's and Asda.

Waitrose or Ocado online, and M&S. Also, there's a new local Co-op just opened which is very useful.

jeni Wed 02-May-12 18:00:47

Waitrose on line.

Anagram Wed 02-May-12 18:05:12

Does anyone else think this might be a market survey? hmm

whenim64 Wed 02-May-12 18:25:52

Yes hmm

glammanana Wed 02-May-12 18:34:47

Lidl for all the fresh veg and fruit and Lasagne/smoked sausages and their fab 3 bird roast when they have it in.All cleaning stuff from Home & Bargain as their prices are the best in town other special stuff from Morrisons or a big shop every few months from Ocado on line.

harrigran Wed 02-May-12 19:09:27

I shop at Aldi, Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, M&S and Waitrose and if I am at my other home I will shop at Co-op and Booths. I have particular favourites in all of the shops.

Ariadne Wed 02-May-12 19:11:02

We've seen Lilac on another thread, the one about horoscopes. So....maybe.

Meercat Wed 02-May-12 20:51:08

Waitrose and M&S are my favourites at the start of the month. Tesco at the end of the month or any of Tesco Sainsburys and Morrisons if they have there Petrol Offers

Ariadne Wed 02-May-12 20:53:10

Mmm - come on, Lilac, tell us we're wrong!

imjingl Wed 02-May-12 21:55:15

Why would it be market research? grin

How would it help anyone to have a load of old grannies put up, "waitrose". "tescos" "co-op" sainsburys" "aldi" "lidl" "mr kassan's on the corner by the gasworks" "the bloke with the glass eye on the market stall".... on and on and on......... ad infinitum?

imjingl Wed 02-May-12 21:59:11

Just tell us which bl**dy supermarket sells stale and expired stuff!

I wanna know.

Anagram Wed 02-May-12 22:03:32

Less of the 'old grannies' jingl if you don't mind!

Lilac may just want to know our preferences, for whatever reason.

Perhaps she's thinking of trying to offload stale and expired stuff somewhere....hmm

johanna Wed 02-May-12 22:21:24

jingle,
Your post:Is there an emoticon for laughing, and laughing, and laughing?
< Mr Kassan by the gasworks, etc. etc >
Very funny.

imjingl Wed 02-May-12 22:43:58

Yes. I thought I'd get told off for that Anagram. grin

Anagram Wed 02-May-12 22:52:55

Haha..thanks for your reply ladies. I am not too tech savvy so will take time to get a hang of this. Anyways appreciate your views and its no market survey just something to start a conversation (if i would put it).

I am still having a hard time to shop online. Actually i wanted to know your views about Ocado or Waitrose. I am thinking of switching it to them. Use to shop a lot at Sainsbury. I like Tesco too. As you can see i am clearly confused.

Help! And can you please tell me a way to find out the offers/vouchers for such sites here. Thanks!
