Where do you buy your groceries from?

We have a very famous grocery store close by. But according to my daughter it only stocks stale and expired stuff. She has been after my life to order groceries online. Can anyone help me? Where do you generally shop? Thanks for your time smile

I love Ocado. Registering is easy and what you've bought previously is on their system because at the end of shopping a list of items you may have forgotten pop up which is wonderful for someone like me even though I make lists. You can add to your shopping list to just a few hours before delivery and whilst there are the odd substitutions from time to time they are - in my view - sensible ones. Also the food is separated into cupboard, freezer and fridge so makes packing away much easier. There have been a couple of hiccups like a leaky milkbottle but it's been refunded there and then on the doorstop. Their customer service is excellent. Any emails are answered very quickly and any action required is done speedily. I don't mind the odd rare mistake if I know it's going to be handled promptly.

In between I go to Asda purely because I can walk there. If I'm in the vicinity I go to Waitrose or Co-op. I avoid Tesco - it's far too big and crowded for me.

Well if it is a market survey - I hope this will help:
Lidl, Carrefour, Leclerc and Cora.

And if it isn't - when in England I love Waitrose; we always stop and load up on our way back to the ferry.

Ocado is definitely the best. They deliver mostly Waitrose stuff with some of their own range.

Website very quick and easy once you get the hang of it. There is an 'add all' button which puts your usual groceries in your trolley, and then you just get up the 'pictures' version of the trolley and go down it, adding anything else you might want that week, or deleting anything you don't need.

Delivery slots are one hour (usually two with the other lots). Charges vary with time of day/ day of week. Annual contract, where they take the fee monthly is the cheapest way to do it.

Deliveries over £40 (very easily reached!). As often as you like when you have the Ocado delivery pass.

jingl envy they don't deliver in our area. I only live 5 miles from a city centre, not as if I am up a lane and up a track.

And you don't have to take the bags at the front door. They will come round the back and put them on the kitchen table for you. smile
