Good morning Gally. I'm waking up at 5 quite regularly at the moment - its the daylight that does it. But it is fine with me. I need less sleep at this time of year.
Well I'm sure now day has dawned you have seen the sense of cleaning after the party... tidy before and clean after.
Jus a suggestion - think 1950s with the cakes - they would definitely have had jam not cream. But icing was popular. Rationing was just finally being phased out I think.

Good morning ..........

This afternoon we are having our Jubilee street party and the sun is out just going to make some buns and the Asti is chilling remembered the corriander so all set. Got gas for the BBQ and everything else is in hand.

Sitting in the garden with my cup of tea and feeling on top of the world.
Spent most of the weekend at the house and feeling like we have achieved what we set out to for this weekend so I feel happy, satisfied and eager to enjoy our party.

glass thanks for reminding me about the wine I had left ours in the shed so will move into the fridge,the oven has been on for a couple of hours now and I only have to boil the eggs for the kiddies sandwiches then I'm done,shall put feet up for 1/2 hr and then shower and change,party to start about 2pm the sun is trying to break through so things looking good.Hoping everyone enjoys the day to-day if you are having celebrations.

Last night through our back windows, we watched a procession of torches which trailed up the Lomond Hill, which is about 6 miles away. We could see it easily even without binoculars, as the pathway was lit all the way to the summit where the beacon was lit at 10.30pm. It looked like an ancient 'rite', and made me realise that over thousands of years this may have happened quite often.

Well done jeni the stuff we ladies put in our hand baggage needs seeing to be believed.
