Songs with good tunes and annoying lyrics!

I enjoy some songs but really object to their lyrics, such as:

Delilah (You laughed at me so I killed you)
For the Good Times (Let's have one last **)
Softly as I leave you (I am too cowardly to tell you face to face)
Gentle on my mind (I use you whenever it is convenient)
The Impossible Dream ( I am a hero)
My way (Aren't I wonderful)

I am sure you can all think of some that annoy you!

Petula Clark....she could even have been Petulant Lark, couldn't she....she always looked like a spoilt child, very pretty-pretty! (Now, green, stop being catty!!) shock

My little brother had a crush on Petula Clark when he was about seven. She was singing a song about a little shoemaker in his shop. I do so love to remind him about this!
