Addicted again!

I was addicted to Gransnet before I went to Spain for a week last month. When I came home the addiction had gone and I only came on for a look a couple of times a day. Then I started doing the odd post and now it's back to logging on every half hour when I'm in the house.

All my family know about Gransnet. For a start I'm always rushing off with the latest good joke. A friend sends me texts saying 'get off Gransnet now' (he's joking).

Is anybody else addicted and does it matter?

Well I've had a coffee
Read Monday's files (just we'd and thurs to do)

I reckon 2out of 4 not bad. So I deserve a treat
Back to addiction!

juragran and I had a wonderful holiday in Sharm , jeni- I can still close my eyes and visualise that first moment when you enter the sea and there is the reef - not only the beautiful colours and shapes of the coral and the fish, but the feel of the sea on your limbs. We got back on Saturday and I came home on Sunday. It was very hot, about 42C - not a climate I would choose but bearable in an air conditioned hotel with a short ride to the beach.
It is much nicer here in Haute Savoie - about 20C, like an English summer day and just right for walking. I have taken to setting out really early, about 8 a.m. (7 a.m UK time), so I get back in time for The Wright Stuff! Only two hours today, straight from the door, on one of my favourite local walks. I am building up to some mammoth walks.
I was sitting on my balcony an hour ago, when a naughty breeze whipped my flimsy, cheap parasol over the edge. It is now lying in a garden on the ground floor. The owners are away and the garden is only accessible through their flat! I need Poirot to work out how to get it back!

soop - is your article out today in the ladylike magazine? Forgive me if you've already posted somewhere else about it!

absentgrana Fri 22-Jun-12 15:42:51

soop I can never resist a challenge. The Larry who was happy may have been a boxer called Larry Foley. However, as it is an Australian expression, it may be derived from larrikin (a hooligan or unconventional person).

soop just read your article! It's great. Makes us almost seem human

green I'll pick up a copy to-morrow aswell I do enjoy the magazine when I buy it,I remember buying it yrs ago and then it was full to bursting with exotic job vacancies for nannies and au pairs in all sorts of far flung places that sounded so glamourous when I was 16/17,how small the world seems now in comparison.Look forward to reading the article soop
