That's really lovely news, Mishap! I felt like you when my eldest daughter told me that she was pregnant - she and her partner had appeared to have no interest in having children, and when she phoned me with the news I was so happy!

Thank you for your good wishes - the last time she was round here she was discussing getting a dog, so I thought any idea of babies was off the agenda for now at least. If all goes well, we have 6 GC then! Can't think when all this happened - I still think of myself as if I am in my mid-30s.

As we had not expected her to have any, it was even more of a thrill.

How lovely*mishap*it's so exciting to have the news of anew baby,my son has also just broken the news that DDIL is 11 weeks pregnant. We will both be proud Grannies around the same time.

As I heaved a bundle of clean washing into the airing cupboard I thought to myself 'It's a long time since I held a baby in my arms' so I really envy you all these lovely new babies. My granchildren range from 16 to 23 so probably a bit longer to wait!

Hunt we had a visit from a baby (and his parents) on Saturday and I just had to hold him! Our youngest DGC is 5 and I don't think there will be more babies.
