I am officially a pensioner as today I activated my state pension! Apparently I could have been collecting it since January so a bit of back pay due ...how nice as it softens the blow of admitting I am a certain age on the outside whilst in my head I am about 30!!!

They may not all work thoughconfused

I once read someone's theory that when men were hunters the best ones could concentrate on the track of a beast without deviating until they caught it. The women were gathering nuts and berries and so on, so the most successful were the ones whose attention was all around them and they noticed all the ones that were nearly ripe and could go back to them later. The best hunters and best gatherers ate better, mated with each other, and had more healthy children. Survival of the fittest.

Which reminds me of something I read today which propounded the theory that the most successful black athletes are descended from slaves, because they have such strong genes.

I think men are the far superior race !!¬! love them

jeni Tue 03-Jul-12 20:15:33

I love whiskers on kittens and brown paper packages but I don't think they are superior!

Anagram Tue 03-Jul-12 20:23:32

Are men a separate race? confused
That explains a lot...

Nonu Tue 03-Jul-12 20:24:27

I do think men are much more superior to us , their brains are bigger and they are stronger

Anagram Tue 03-Jul-12 20:30:04

Yes, dear. Keep taking the medicine.

Nonu Tue 03-Jul-12 20:36:54

jeni Tue 03-Jul-12 20:42:12

nonu darling. How can you think men are superior? They have a vital bit missing! A portion of a chromosone. They are xy whereas we are xxsmile

Nonu Tue 03-Jul-12 20:49:43

johanna Tue 03-Jul-12 20:59:58

Your train of thought is a definite nono

Anagram Tue 03-Jul-12 21:04:16

Nonu must be a man...grin

Annobel Tue 03-Jul-12 21:08:21

If you really think men are superior, I wonder what that says about you? Either that you are, in fact, a man, or that you, personally are inferior. Same thing really. hmm

Nonu Tue 03-Jul-12 21:09:07

At the risk of being boring I think men are the superior race, I certainly think that of my husband of forty years , guess some of you can beat that ?

johanna Tue 03-Jul-12 21:13:47

nonu
Please stop taking the piss.

Nonu Tue 03-Jul-12 21:14:08

a] I"m not a man and I don"t think I am inferior , but surely one is entitled to one"s opinions without being put down . but I seem to be wrong . gosh

whenim64 Tue 03-Jul-12 21:42:11

Elegran Tue 03-Jul-12 22:29:05

Isn't "conturbat" a past tense?

If is the conturbation is in the past, you are presumably dead and beyond being conturbed by it.

Elegran Tue 03-Jul-12 22:30:58

If we want to be pedantic about the poem, it is called "Lament for the makars" not makers.
