Happy to log on after a short break in London. I've missed you all. Have masses to catch up on. Will need to return later to tell you all about our trip. For all the pain of the journey down, it was a marvellous treat and we've returned with some sooper memories.

Gally I'm delighted for you. What a marvellous experience. I'm happy to report that, so far, I'm thrilled with the way the portrait is progressing. Mr soop smiled broadly when he caught a glimpse of it. sunshine

Have just added two new photos. Granddaughter graduating with a 1st in law. Lovely boyfriend and good picture of her proud parents. Her father is my middle son. Isn't it heart warming to see the "young ones" come good! smile

soop Lovely photos - clever grandaughter! So glad Charlie is coming on well, he was a lovely fellow and much missed even after 12 years. Just been to watch the 5 year old, and about 400 others, playing mini saturday-morning-soccer; he scored 3 goals so is a very happy boy. Have to do it all over again this afternoon for the 8 year old. If this is winter, let it carry on - 22 degrees, but still the mummys are wearing fur lined boots and thick puffa jackets, but I suppose it is all relative. Bags I will enjoy myself once I have got over the jet lag - only 3 hours sleep last night and I am fading fast.....confused

It's been so wet today, I have spent time posting pics. of my weaving work and wedding garden.

soop Sat 14-Jul-12 15:25:24

Butter You willow weaving is beautiful. Have you more photos of the wedding to add? The table has had a lot of thought and love put into it. flowers

jeni Sat 14-Jul-12 15:29:30

Aren't you clever!

whenim64 Sat 14-Jul-12 15:30:18

Lovely photos and what a great setting for the wedding table smile

Pitying all my friends at the Kent County Show; they have had to close the car parks because of the rain. And I suspect it is worse for the Yorkshire Show? And all the other "summer" events called off - such a shame after all the hard work people have put in.

Butternut Sat 14-Jul-12 16:03:29

soop I'll see if I can get my tech. assist. to help me again.... smile

Bags Sat 14-Jul-12 18:33:23

Love the photos, butty! How talented you are with both weaving and wedding table arranging. I would love to see more of your garden. It looks delightful. smile

Gally - you've been pretty busy already! No wonder you're flagging! Your little grandson will be so proud - getting three goals when you're watching! Enjoy the warmth, Gally. Today it rained again here in Fife hmm, but DH managed to cut the grass just before it started. I'm wearing a fleecy sweatshirt......in July confused!

Today I have been.....running a massed rehearsal for 200 singers....time to sleep now.

If anyone is on the vicinity of Hereford on July 28th, come along to the cathedral and hear the joyous singing that is The Gathering Wave!! (www.3choirs.org.uk)

jeni Sat 14-Jul-12 20:06:42

Is that the three choirs festival?

Annobel Sat 14-Jul-12 20:06:48

Butter, that must have been such a lovely wedding. What a great mum you are flowers and I love the weaving too.

Annobel Sat 14-Jul-12 20:32:38

Have had a lovely day. I went to Birmingham for a reunion with lots of former colleagues from my time in Kenya. It was wonderful to see all those women I worked with and lived in close proximity with on the school compound - some in their eighties now but still full of the same spirit they had forty odd years ago. Most are around my age and also grannies, so there was much showing of pictures! A lot of reminiscing and remembering the few who have 'gone before' us. It was sunny and warm almost all the time which meant we could sit out in our hostess's lovely garden. sunshine

Mishap Sat 14-Jul-12 20:36:15

It is indeed the Three Choirs Festival Jeni - we organise The Gathering Wave when it is in Hereford every 3 years - it is the festival's community choirs concert and is the finale of the whole festival - it is very exciting and I can't wait for 28th!

jeni Sat 14-Jul-12 20:50:25

Wish I could see it!

jeni Sat 14-Jul-12 22:05:24

Well all! I'm to bed! Tomorrow is ----(another day?) Sunday!

Night all!
