A post on another site has inspired me to ask: what would you like your last words to be?

greenmossgiel Fri 13-Jul-12 13:08:20

"Oh, by the way.....I meant to tell you....." grin

glammanana Fri 13-Jul-12 13:27:54

The full quote from my MiL was "Dewsbury, Dewsbury, Shoeburyness, Poor Old St Swithin." We have no idea what she meant. She always said she never felt she had grown up, but maybe she would feel grown up before she died. She didn't tell us that either...

I like the message on Spike Milligan's gravestone....' I told you I was ill'

jeni Fri 13-Jul-12 14:21:20

My grandma's last words made me think that the story that someone comes to get you is true. She looked over to an empty part of the room and said "Oh hello Jessie. What are you doing here?" Jessie had been dead for decades but my grandma saw her and spoke to her. I don't know if she was having some sort of dream or it was real.

I'm going to announce "Oh it was the dog that.....". That will flummox them. The dog did what? And I've never owned a dog. smile

When the Korean leader died, my OH said quick as a flash, "there I told you I was Kim Jong Il".

Mamie Fri 13-Jul-12 14:47:36

That looks like Kim Jong the second - Kim jong il(l)

greenmossgiel Fri 13-Jul-12 15:00:45

glamma, I'll have to do the same for my other 'arf! He has no idea of the bank card numbers, or even how to use the cards, if he did. Sometimes I despair of him and at other times I'm quite glad....wink

Anagram Fri 13-Jul-12 15:03:59

Greatnan Fri 13-Jul-12 16:22:55

Oscar Wilde is reputed to have said 'Either that wallpaper goes or I do'. The wallpaper won!
I would like my last words to be 'I love you and thank you' to my family.

Maniac Fri 13-Jul-12 16:54:55

have you read 'Goodbye,Cruel World.,A book of Memorable Epitaphs'in the
BOOK-BLOCKS series.

He does buy me some odd presents .I felt a bit worried as he was somewhat depressed/stressed at the time.

Good luck to your son in his new job, maniac! He's another who belies the grumblies' chant about people not really looking for work. 300 applications!!! Yeesh. Well done him.
