Nicking Consumer testing a bit of Comte from the fridge, I got to wondering which out of cheese or chocolate I could not live without. I think in my case it would be cheese, but what do you think?
(And isn't it strange that they both wreck diets and both begin with "ch" - as does chardonnay!!!) smile

Chocolate! Definitely.

Smaller GS has gone to bed and donated the rest of his large bag of Minstrels to me! sunshine Trouble is, I know he'll want them back in the morning! hmm

I love cheese, any cheese - the stronger the better, though! I love chocolate too, but it tends to make me rather plump....! grin

I have given up cheese and chocolate. I know - its unbelievable but both give me migraines. For those addicted to both, have you tried a famous brand of cream cheese now mixed with chocolate?

glammanana Wed 08-Aug-12 20:25:06

I've tried that mixture Humbertbear and was not impressed at all reminded me of a mud pudding confused I do love any strong cheese though, when I go to Chester shopping there is a fab cheese shop who always a specialist cheese of the week mostly made by small business's I love to stop and try the samples and always come away with a few new types to try.

My son found some Barolo cheese which he really liked, so ate a lot. He swears it made him squiffy!

when is he sure it is the cheese?
Or maybe he had to spend the day with the " gas men ?". grin

Anagram Wed 08-Aug-12 21:41:33

Who are the 'gas men'? confused

nightowl Wed 08-Aug-12 21:42:38

Well so far jingl it looks as though it's just you and me for the chocolate. Fight you for the galaxy grin

Cheese goes better with Pinot so it has to be cheese. Followed by Greens 85% dark choc.

Cheese for me.

My dear old mum would have said chocolate. She loved her Frys Turkish Delight bar sandwiches. Yep the whole bar between bread and butter, revolting to think about but actually not horrible to eat, weird though.

ana
When's son works in the NHS. The anaesthetists are know as the " gas men "
well, amongst themselves.

moomin Wed 08-Aug-12 22:13:17

Er no nightowl I'm a chocolate girl as well, but you and jingl can fight over or share the Galaxy - it's Hotel Chocolat for me!

whenim64 Wed 08-Aug-12 22:14:17

No Ana he hadn't been with the gas men - he works in psychiatry. He reckons the combination of strong cheese and that particular wine did it.

nightowl Wed 08-Aug-12 22:20:06

Ooh Moomin you are seriously posh!! I was always a cheap date grin

nightowl Wed 08-Aug-12 22:23:53

Although I am partial to a bit of Green and Black's - any flavour will do!

Anagram Wed 08-Aug-12 22:24:03

That's a relief, when - I was imagining all sorts! grin

moomin Wed 08-Aug-12 22:28:18

nightowl - haha! No, not posh but surprising how many "special occasions" OH and I can find to treat ourselves! wink

nightowl Wed 08-Aug-12 22:39:22
