Can anyone help me?
I'm trying to get a pair of carbon fibre crutches! You can get them on the continent but not here apparently. I've tried the web, eBay and amazon to no avail.
You can get walking poles and sticks but NOT ELBOW CRUTCHES

HELP

Hi Jeni...not sure if these are carbon fibre as it doesn't say what they're made of but they look very like the walking poles that I use.

Googled them + UK and found loads of crutches, but not sure if any are what you want. If you can get them abroad somewhere, can you order from them and get them delivered?

Alternatively is you know where to get them in France, and they don't deliver to UK, you could order them and get delivered to my friend just across the border, and I could bring them when we come late September/october. We will come via Dover to Guildford, then Dartmouth then Market Harborough. And if you can get them in Switzerland, get them delivered to us, and then as above.
Bonne chance.

No those are the same composition as mine! The cf ones are unobtainable in England unless you order 600 from China.

Would be good to have the brand and item id number, etc, to search locally.
Or a link.

I've located some light weight ones, 520-570 gr each, including a folding pair which would be great for travelling. Still twice the weight of the ones you mentioned, but of course much lighter than the old style ones.

Do be careful though, as many of the lightweight ones have a maximum weight, either 90kg or 100kg- so do check first as they are so expensive.

What's €440 in proper money? Does any one know?

granjura Sat 11-Aug-12 17:08:45

jeni Sat 11-Aug-12 17:20:36

Hmmm! Have to talk to my financial advisor! shockgrin

granjura Sat 11-Aug-12 18:17:44

If you need them all the time and love to travel - I'd say it would be a really worthwhile investment. Hope the 'computer says 'YES''! smile
