strange dislikes

Polystyrene in any shape or form...

DH - buttons. OK if they are attached to something, but free range buttons make him shudder. Odd or what?

I have a friend who is afraid of buttons - afraid is her word. She won't wear clothes with any on.

Dog ends,make me shudder even thinking about it if we go out for a picnic,sitting on a park bench,walking on beach ,pavements etc,if there are dog ends strewn about,as there usually is I cannot bear it,and if I accidentally tread on one,or have to look at them...spoils any outing for me ugh filthy things..

Hi Littlenellie!!! When I read that you had a great dislike of Dog Ends, thought that you meant dog's bums, perhaps you don't like them either!!!!!

I cannot abide being near anyone who eats with their mouth open and 'chams' on their food, yuck.

I cannot stand the noise nor the sight, makes me want to urge.

The feel of flour on my hands.

When my younger sister was 3 she came home from nursery with a bag with a few jam tarts. My 5 year old self wanted to make some and my mother prepared the ingredients but the moment I put my hands in the bowl to rub the flour and fat together. I pulled them out immediately saying I didnt like the feel of the flour on my hands - and I've never changed my mind. In this household pastry is made by my daughter or in the mixer.

Can't stand the feel of chenille....when they were in fashion a few years ago my DGC's had them and I couldn't give them a hug! Makes me shiver just thinking about it. I hate 'Frosty the Snowman' too.....it was played all the time from October until January where I worked, nearly drove me crazy.

Material in my mouth makes me shudde when someone breaks of a sewing thread in their mouth. My daughter cant cope with labels especially on fruit.

Those microfibre cloths, especially if my hands are a bit rough, make me shudder.

The sponge foam attached to some of those "scotchbrite" kitchen scourers (other brands are available!) I don't mind the scourer stuff on its own, I just hate the feel of the foam.

Anagram I don't flit around with a feather duster all day! Any surfaces here are covered with books and papers. Unglazed pottery I do try to avoid.

De-heading petunias - they are all horribly sticky - I stick to geraniums because of it.
