I think that with baking (which I very rarely do these days, as Mr P is notone for cake or biscuits) should be cheaper and better than shop bought. Somehow I don't think that could be said of their batch of 6 teacakes!

If it revives an interest in home baking and cooking I don't think it can be bad. Cheaper and healthier than the bought stuff. I love the fact that Mary Berry is now an icon

I've always loved baking, but love eating what I've made just a bit too much! grin Just got a Victoria sponge in the oven for today, though, as I've got visitors coming. It's Mary Berry's foolproof, all-in-one recipe. I hope they demolish it for me grin

I could watch those two for hours. Gentle humour without silly, over-the-top banter, endless tips that you know will work, respect for eachother's expertise and enthusiasm that shines through without constantly banging on about themselves. They're a match made in culinary heaven.
