The S.O. is very keen on Hayley [local girl makes good and all that]. Supposedly she's not getting the rides she used to but I'm a bit out of touch, and I tend to get all the other lady jockeys mixed up. Have to be honest and say I've never forgiven Hayley for being the 'other part' in the break up of Emma Spencer's marriage. The new NH jockey, Lucy Alexander is very good, and we used to follow Rose Dobbin when she was riding [being a northern girl]. We've come a long was since Gee Armytage and Rosie Henderson though, haven't we! We met Nina Carberry at McDonalds in Naas one year .

Well at least it was during the NH season and I don't think he was ever all that keen on going to Lingfield and Kempton. Back in time for the Derby, though [if he gets a ride]. Wonder what he'll do? It'll be interesting to see him riding in a lot of competitive handicaps as he has a very good clock in his head. He needs to come back for a while and put this behind him anyway if he wants any sort of career in the media when he does retire.
