My mum is 85 and she has a V shaped pillow that she uses in her chair. Mum had osteoporosis in her spine so needs something supportive. If you gave a look on Amazon they are very reasonably priced, you can also buy the pillowcase to fit. (Mum has 2 pillowcases)

Charlie is your grandma eligible for these support cushions via her GP or health visitor? My sister had support cushions brought to her when she was ill and had to sit in one chair for long periods of time. They aren't pretty, but you could provide nice covers for them

Is it worth looking around for a decent second hand recliner chair?
