jO5 Thu 15-Nov-12 15:32:52

I'm not!!!!

absentgrana Thu 15-Nov-12 15:36:02

What?

jO5 Thu 15-Nov-12 15:37:34

Um..... Bipolar.

I just thought it was funny. Don't expect anyone else to.

gracesmum Thu 15-Nov-12 15:38:42

Dislike T shirts with slogans on principle, I'm afraid.

jO5 Thu 15-Nov-12 15:40:55

Neither do I usually. I guess wouldn't actually wear it. grin

Anne58 Thu 15-Nov-12 15:50:22

The only t shirt I have with writing on has a cartoon of a cat with all it's fur standing on end, it's claws extended and a look of absolute panic on it's face.

The script underneath reads "I am perfectly calm"

Ana Thu 15-Nov-12 15:54:36

The symbol's clever, though.

vampirequeen Thu 15-Nov-12 21:46:09

I find it offensive.

jO5 Thu 15-Nov-12 21:51:48

Mmmmm!

Perhaps it is.

Still think it's funny. Hopefully, so would a bi-polar person. On a good day.

nanaej Thu 15-Nov-12 21:54:05

Unless you were genuinely trying to raise awareness about the condition am not sure why you would wear it.

I have a few 'slogan' t-shirts ..for wearing on protests! Or my one for weeding and pruning: 'Be bloody, bold and resolute' from RSC!

jO5 Thu 15-Nov-12 21:59:19

I just thought it was funny. Lighten up a bit.

Yawn. hmm

nanaej Thu 15-Nov-12 22:01:49

j05 there should be a wooden spoon emoticon specially for you!

Ana Thu 15-Nov-12 22:24:54

Come on, we can't tread on eggshells all the time! Sometimes you just want to share something that you think's amusing - should we all stifle our sense of humour just in case...?

jO5 Thu 15-Nov-12 22:27:54

Thank you Ana smile

nanaej Thu 15-Nov-12 22:29:47

It's not treading on eggshells Ana I genuinely do not know what the point of wearing the t-shirt would be if not for genuine awareness raising. Would you wear it? If so what would you wear it for? If not why not?

jO5 Thu 15-Nov-12 22:33:31

I've already said I probably wouldn't actually wear it!!!!!!!!!!!! grin

I saw it. It made me laugh. I posted.

Shoot me now.

hmm

Ana Thu 15-Nov-12 22:39:04

No, I wouldn't wear it. Neither would jO5. That's not the point - it's a genuinely funny slogan.

nanaej Thu 15-Nov-12 22:49:01

Now you are being a drama queen jo5! Chill! you cannot be deliberately provocative and then get peed off when you get the responses you hoped for!

It is quite a clever design and if a bipolar charity / group etc use it to promote the issues of bipolar disorders I think it would be effective!

jO5 Thu 15-Nov-12 23:11:56

I wasn't being provocative!!!!

Didn't enter my mind.

I just thought it was funny.

You're the one making a big thing of it. moon

jO5 Thu 15-Nov-12 23:13:11

Has everything on here got to be heavy?!

jeni Thu 15-Nov-12 23:17:40

My son suffers from quite severe bi polar affective disorder. I wonder what he'd think of it?

vampirequeen Fri 16-Nov-12 05:31:25

Would you also think that something making fun of kidney failure, heart failure or autism was funny?

Living with MH issues isn't funny ......even on a good day.

Bags Fri 16-Nov-12 06:20:10

MH?

Living with even mild ME isn't funny either, but if someone designed a funny T-shirt about it that would make people think, I'd be glad. Likewise with other silent, invisible health conditions.

Cheers, jings! I think the T-shirt design is interesting. Good for it. I probably wouldn't wear it either smile

Ceesnan Fri 16-Nov-12 06:51:41

Perhaps someone could design a t-shirt bemoaning the loss of their sense of humour. JO5 I'm with you on this one.
