Ana - I live in a block of flats - nobody has a garden and the flats are outside a tiny ski resort. I don't know anybody because the other flats are nearly all just holiday lets for the ski season.
Someone. Living in one room. No heating. Swaddled in a duvet against the alpine cold, rags for clothing. Freezer stuffed full only of baguette pieces. A single light on in one small window in an otherwise deserted block of holiday lets. Not even a mushroom growing in a box of compost (no stairs).
I made soup out of the slightly wizened vegetables and the really wizened ones went in the compost.... any points? I put all my old plastic carrier bags into the bag re-cyling at the car park in town and remembered to have my canvas bags with me , no central heating ( but it is warm) just a log fire (smoke pollution probably cancels the good!) BUT I bought hideously commercial party plates/ cups etc for DDs 4th birthday party on Sunday...damn lost all pee-cee points
We're having a bit of building work done after Christmas so the other day I removed loads of gravel from a path, sieved and washed it and put it in a spare wheelbarrow ready to re-use next spring.
nanej, depending on where you live, plastic/paper plates and cups can be recycled, so you may be able to recoup your PeeCee points. Hope your GD has a lovely party - and you too of course.
