Today was expected to be the top day of the year for internet shopping. Did you buy on line today? I did - a shirt for DS on the M&S web site - 20% off all day today but only on line. So if you want to take advantage of it, you need to get a move on!

burnette, if you are shopping on line, look for the padlock symbol beside their web address. it should mean that their system is secure. Your bank may also have a security system that you have to sign in to before they will sanction your payment.

If an deal looks too good to be true it probably is.

Try using Pay Pal or some such secure site to pay. Look at the Site and the seller recommendations but be wary of these on Ebay.

Ebay has a lot of advice about buying safely. Never give any one your credit or debit card details.

Amazon buying is a hot topic right now due to the income tax issues, but their dealing methods are usually secure and very speedy.
Try something small at first.

Last year my DIL was due to her 2nd baby in the end of November so was not able to do a lot of her Xmas shopping due to pregnancy and newborn. I was staying with them at the time to await the birth. She did a huge amount of shopping on line and very successful it was too.
