Me too. I hope you all have the kind of Christmas which makes you happy and that there is someone who makes you feel very special.

I too would like to wish everyone a Happy and Peaceful Christmas; to all the GN Staff who have kept us going, to the lovely GN's who I have met this year - they know who they are - and especially to those, who like me, will be having our first Christmas without our beloved husbands .

When one thinks about it Notsogrand , there must be so many people
living on their own - far more than we realise , a gesture such as
Happy Christmas is the very least we can do.
I think it is only when one becomes unfortunate enough as to live on
their own that one reaises what it is like .

OGMgood for you .you have reminded me of someone called Blackbird in alnwick who mentioned she was lonely and widowed I think-I do hope things are better for her-she has stuck in my mind-all the lurkers resolve to post for your NYRs

I've been thinking about blackbird, too,*Stansgran*. I think she was going to try to meet up with us all at Gally's in the autumn, but couldn't come.

We have just had the local 'Lions' Christmas float along our road! Lots of music, and flashing lights, collecting for local charities. The children next door were outside , jumping about and chatting to Santa Claus. Why did I suddenly burst into tears???? Memories of when my own children were so excited by all this, and realisation of what it is really all about.
