Merry Christmas everybody.
Granddaughters have opened their presents.
We are going out for christmas dinner.
Granddaughters want to take the dog for a Christmas walk later.
I hope the rain will stop.
I am a little unsure what difference a dog christmas walk is to an ordinary walk but I am sure he will meet many friends.

Merry Christmas Frank - Daylight here and rain has stopped. Were there no presents for you?

Off for a walk with the grandchhildren and dog now the rain has stopped.
The grand children are worried the dog may not get another walk today.
We are just going to stay on tarmac paths.

Thank you all. Now rather full and enjoying Call The Midwife. I suspect I'm not alone on either front grin

I missed the beginning as I was at an Asian birthday party for a little girl who was one year old today. I was very proud and honoured to be asked to celebrate her special day, but legged it as soon as we'd seen the magician because I didn't want to miss Call the Midwife [although, from the smells that were coming from the kitchen area we missed some amazing food]. A somewhat surreal Christmas but, all in all rather pleasant.

Just seen the end of Call the Midwife! I nearly missed it.

Full and relaxing - my sister and boyfriend took 5 of us - includes my daughter and 3 sons - to the Mitre in Oxford, a first time for me. A good dinner and lots of extras - my little grandson came back with six santa hats on this head!

Now home and appreciating unexpected presents - shoes and a greenhouse heater. And White Mist from the Body Shop, which I haven't had for years but still love.

Some of this was a bit surreal too, specially walking to meet the car afterwards with a palm tree made of long balloons.......

Despite my worries, there was ample turkey and just enough red cabbage so that was all good. smile

Less good - 5 year old grandson going rapidly down hill with a virus and letting us all know, 11 month old teething and refusing to go to anyone but his 6 month pregnant mother who was having stomach pains and then getting a phone call from my brother who was just driving away from Mum's home when she was struck by a rapid onset of noro-virus. sad

When I spoke to Mum last night and she told me she had had 'a bit of a cold'. My brother had picked up his new car the day before!! sad

Oh dear kitty - the phrase 'it never rains but it pours' comes to mind. Hope normal health resumes as soon as possible. smile

I have just been reading other threads ga and your Christmas seems to have been rather more challenging.sad Ours was not that bad really as there were enough of us to keep swapping responsibilities! grin Hope things are easier in your family too. smile
