are you getting shorter??

Can someone tell me what all the initials actually stand for e.g. GN, DH, etc I can do DIL. Am reasonably new to Gransnet and like reading all the comments on the Forums or what ever the plural is!Happy New Year to all.

Hi sara the acronyms are all listed along the' buttons' at the top , where it says 'active', 'last hour' etc. Some of us don't bother with them, some of us do but it's good to know what they mean.

sara I had exactly the same problem when I joined and I'd never noticed the acronyms button either, so don't feel bad

My sisterinlaw has just sent me a link to a competitor website to Gransnet - www.silverhairs.com/

It has a forum but the text is in a fetching shade of lavender on a pale pink background so I don't think I shall strain my eyes trying to read it.

Sorry, that was nothing to do with getting shorter, but it was the page I was reading when I stopped to open the email and check on that site. It has a tally of who is online - 12 at the moment - and how many are browsing that page - only one, presumably me.
