Good morning, folks! There's a fresh basket of logs in the corner and I see someone has kindly cleaned up. I've got rashers of bacon and some fresh rolls, so help yourself to bacon butties. Back shortly with milk, then we'll get mugs of tea on the go.

DDs have been enjoying sloe gin and fizz ever since we started making the former - a sort of Kir Royale.

Dare I risk it with daughter so close to her time? (As in, if I'm awash with sloe gin I can't drive and would be useless in the delivery room.) Think I'll try just a little glass.

have a steaming hot bread pudding all moist and spicy,fresh from oven,can ellie my black lab join us she likes to lay on feet and keep them warm,she's very friendly..
