Good news. The ladies only classes have stopped at my leisure centre.

Myself and a few other men have complained to our local leisure centre about classes which only ladies can use.
Our argument was they were not providing men only classes and if the ladies wanted ladies only classes without equivalent men only classes the ladies which use these classes should pay extra as it is a council leisure centre for everybody to use.
They have done a survey and found that none of the ladies going to these classes were bothered about men being in them.
As far as I am concerned any ladies who want ladies only classes should go to private gyms.
The membership fees are a lot higher than the local leisure centre but that is their problem.

I couldn't really write anything - well especially early on as I might have been banned !!!

In the spirit of ending this state of limbo with recurring bums'n'tums references...........loved 'B of the Bang' before its demise, never got Tracey Emin's Unmade Bed. grin

Never mind the 'art'. I think we will have to lock the door at our Zumba Gold sessions. You never know who might try to get in with all of us ladies!shock

Hi ginny

You would be within your rights to lock the door at your Zumba Gold session if it is totally privately funded.
If it is in a council leisure men should be let in.
The only excuse I would say for excluding them is if they deliberately prod or go touching the women.
Obviously accidently bumping into the women would not count. Several women have bumped in to me.

I think we should start a campaign to allow men to join post-natal exercise classes on the grounds of fair play and justice.

bluebell Sun 17-Feb-13 07:57:28

Well they've already muscled in on post-natal depression so I think you're right!

I am off on a walk today with my granddaughters.
The women at my Bums and Tums class do not need to worry.
There will be at least 3 men there today.

I do like some of Piccasso's blue period.in fact I used to have a print of a blue nude lady above my desk in surgery! Made some of the old ladies eyebrows rise!

I took my granddaughters to Dudmaston today for the Snowdrop walk.
I met one of the women who normally goes to the Sunday Bums and Tums class.

She said she will witness that I had been out walking this Sunday as a couple of the women are jokers and will probably repremand me for not being at class.

Small world, isn't it Frank? grin

ginny Sun 17-Feb-13 23:03:13

Goodness Frank, I think you have stalkers. There is always someone you know where ever you go.

HUNTERF Sun 17-Feb-13 23:07:03

Considering Dudmaston is a well known annual walk around the Midlands I am almost surprised I did not meet more.
Oddly enough almost every time I go in to town a woman says hello Frank.
I wonder why?.
