HI Mishap well done to your DD and you too! I hope you got a good night's sleep. flowers It is lovely to read this when I opened my laptop this morning, good news is always best. You are all going to have a good time with lots of cuddles. I'm sure Rosie will learn to suck properly, too much to expect straight away. So happy for you all.

She is totally beautiful!!!! Mass of very dark hair, huge eyes, and so dainty (compared with the grandsons when they were newborn). I have this irresistible urge to go online shopping for pretty pink items! Should I try and resist this? - probably not!

My DD is looking OK - she cannot sit down yet, but is managing on paracetamol. She was about to be discharged and should be home by now. I do remember how difficult it was going home with a first time baby - especially one who is not over-enthusiastic about the breast as yet. I am sure that will rise to the challenge; and we are all hnere to support them.

We are so thrilled. I now have lots of photos that have to be sent around to all the relatives.

I did have a cuddle!!!!

Mishap - you sound so happy and thrilled that you make me feel thrilled for you. She sounds gorgeous. Hope DD will soon be able to sit. Does she have a foam ring to sit on?

Pic is now uploaded - I am sure that you will all agree she is very beautiful and incredibly alert for a wee person only 24 hours old.

DD went home last night and is trying to establish feeding and managing very calmly with the help of her OH.

She is perfect! [teddy bear]

Mishap Tue 05-Feb-13 11:22:38

I definitely agree that she is perfect - we are all so thrilled.

I do not know whether I will get to see her today as my Dad has had another fall and has been carted off to hospital again - he had been home less than 24 hours with a big package of care, but he just fell getting out of bed. But my sister is down there and on top of things and I am waiting to hear from her before I venture over to cuddle the baby.

DD has just rung and she seems to be doing well. Baby not really suckling (probably needs a few days after her ventouse delivery) but DD's milk is in and she is pumping it off and giving it by bottle, so Rosie is getting all the goodies. DD is very calm and cheerful which is brilliant. I am so proud of her.
