Do you ever think when you hear retired teachers communicating, either in real life or on forums, "Ah, so that's where it all started to go wrong"?

Obviously...that would apply to anyone but there is a difference between saying someone is academic and AN academic.

But that aside, I agree that teachers can change lives for better or worse.I hated school,because of a bullying teacher,but may have said a few unkind things myself when at the end of my rope on a bad day.

When all the schools (except private schools) have been forced to become academies as Gove intends, will the teachers become academics?
