Good morning. Goodness 12Michael what a polite and meteorological man you are. grin I hope you and other refugees from Saga Zone are finding your way around Gransnet and finding it interesting at the same time. I hope too that you all feel free to start a thread on any topic you fancy whenever you like.

Good morning Michael and all. It's a grey day here on the Devonshire coast and I've been up since 5.30 am. I've already driven into the city and back so it feels like mid-morning to me. I shall light a fire soon and have a chilling out day I think; being a new granny is very tiring. grin

ga The concept of lighting a fire and chilling is a bit hard to get the head round this early in the morning. grin

celebgran Tue 12-Feb-13 07:52:21

Verb1.chill out - become quiet or calm, especially after a state of agitation; "After the fight both men need to cool off."; "It took a while after the baby was born for things to settle down again."
From: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/chill+out Apt example! grin

I am rather fond of "chillax" as used in Gavin and Stacey. grin grin
"Why don't you sit down and chillax babe and I'll make you a nice cup of tea."
Great that you have your appointment at last celeb but a long wait indeed.
I'm doing MKU3A yoga this morning. Need to check I can get car off drive. Otherwise it is a case of call everyone and cancel. I may be some time.

grannyactivist Tue 12-Feb-13 08:34:38

Don't get excited Anno, it's dull here too smile

Anne58 Tue 12-Feb-13 08:55:44

Dull but dry at present.

Today I have an appointment at the Jobcentre. Deep joy.

Hunt Tue 12-Feb-13 09:02:41

Snow covered road here, Yellow-clad workmen re-laying water pipes. They really do earn there money. Water being turned off at 9 o'clock . Camping water carriers full so no shortage of cups of tea. Hair dresser coming at 2.00 so hope supply is back on by then. Nothing much usually happens in our road so quite exciting really!

itsnevertoolate Tue 12-Feb-13 09:03:22

Morning everyonesmile
Grey here too,but we havent had any snow,(so didnt have to cancel yesterdays hosp appointment after all) so thats good, and the crows are busy courting,so surely spring must be on its way?

Speaking of being on my way,I'm going to my 2nd ever "over 60s" this morning,so better see if I can unbend enough to wash hair in the sink (dont have a showersad and get going!
Have a good day everyone!

It is beautiful, as usual, here in the Swiss Jura mountains - I set off for Heathrow soon, then Singapore, Auckland and Nelson. My daughter tells me it is still very warm there, so I am wearing thin layers and I can take some off when I land!
A very warm welcome to all Saga refugees - if you like a joke, you can scroll back through Just Jokes - I posted 1,000 then started a new thread.

Good morning to everyone from The Wirral,it's grey and miserable but at least it is dry and no wind, the view over The Mersey is quite dramatic to-day giving a hazy outline of the Liver Buildings.
