Chilly and dull here. Next job is to venture into the garden and pick up some packages that were hidden by the snow by DDs dogs. Oh, I know how to live !!!

Sorry Galen the doctor kept asking how long since it changed didn't comment about getting like that after heat in India said she doubted it was cancer thought more like wart! But felt best removed and checked.

celeb It's very good to get that testing bit over with there and then, you have been waiting for ages. When will you get a result?

Yes, celeb, I have. About 8 years ago, my doctor sister noticed a new 'mole' on the back of my neck and said it might or might not be a melanoma. My doctor and the dermatologist said the same thing but she took a biopsy to be sure - and it was. I got a very quick appointment at the plastics dept at the Christie Hospital in Manchester and a chunk of muscle was dug out under a local anaesthetic. It turned out to have been the thinnest melanoma they had ever seen. 0.1 millimetres. So it pays to get quick action and I hope yours turns out to be 'just a mole'- but you can't be too careful. Gosh that sounds major anno doctor did not dig deep! Glad she writing to me got allow use to 4 weeks!

The original biopsy was just taking a bit of my neck, the excision came later - couldn't turn my head for a couple of weeks but it was beautifully stitched!
