Recently I have heard the names: Moth and Cobweb (friend of our GP's children,
Spade, Bicycle?????? Skywalker, Obi-Wan, Tin-Tin Jellybean and his sister Tallulah-Little- Bear, Tinkerbell and her sister Cinderella Sparkle. I understand that in France and maybe Australia these type of names are banned as first names. Any other strange ones coming up. BTW my little grandsons middle name is Danger.

There'd be a hell of a lot of Beds if people were named after where they'd been conceived hmm

There'd have been quite a lot of Morris Minors and Ford Anglias about at one time, as well!

Result of the fumes?

Elegran Fri 22-Feb-13 20:18:39

More likely the tasting sessions after the distillery tours. They pour you a large drink to "sample".

My family would be very confused. All three girls concieved in the same town.

ginny Fri 22-Feb-13 20:22:33

Still it would save me going through all three names before I get to the right one !

My Great Grandfather managed a brickpit and my grandmother always used to tellus that one of the labourers there had the surname 'Waters' and he called his three daughters, Lavender, Virginia and Mineral, always known as Minnie, who was playmate of my grandmother.

I have no idea whether that was true, but it makes a conversation subject.

There's a butcher in Cromer called Icarus Hines. So perhaps it's not really a new thing
