My idea of hell is ...

Trapped on a cruise liner with thousands of people. Watching sport. Eating tripe, oysters or mussels. On a package holiday with hundreds of noisy children (my grandchildren are perfect!!)

I think this is totally unfair and bullying - may be a bit of a joke, but if I was the person named I would be out of here like a shot. A joke's a joke, but let's not make it personal.

Being trapped.

Not being able to get away from whatever it is that's bugging me at the time. This can vary according to my mood - loud music can be great if I'm slightly tipsy but hell with a hangover. Crowds at a carnival are great but when they're wandering aimlessly along the street on a Saturday morning when I'm trying to catch a bus which leaves five minutes ago - hell.

gm it did cross my mind that it's a bit harsh on the huntsman. But, having got to know him a little, I kind of expected him to be able to look after himself.

Snakes.

Having to go back to work full-time,I love what I do now and would hate to have a responsible job again.

In my twenties, sitting in front of my boss taking down, in shorthand, production orders for the factory floor, to be typed up later. Listening to his voice droning on and on. Waiting while he answers (and makes) leisurely and lengthy telephone calls without regard for me sitting there for maybe an hour or more, bored to tears. (I once fell asleep).

Having a dental check-up. Its the waiting so so long for the 'they are ok'. Actually going to have treatment is not so bad because you do know whats going to happen.

Having to use a less than clean loo! (shudder).

Feeling sick, (I've had a couple of doses of real food poisoning and its made me hyper sensitive to feeling queasy) I just hate that out of control state of having to hurl! Sorry if you are eating at the mo

vegasmags , my ideas of hell are similar to yours, except that the teacher would be Miss Kenworthy in Latin.
Most of all it would be sharing my home again, especially with a man!

finding I haven't finished my homework in time, uncomfortable shoes, piped music when I want peace, sport on tv and being trapped with boring people who are full of their own importancee and dont want a real conversation.

Do any of you have nightmares that you're taking your finals again although you're already qualified. But for some reason you've re-enrolled at uni. The exams are tomorrow and you've done no revision?

My standard something-not-to-look-forward-to nightmare, Galen. Variation is actually being in the exam hall and turning over paper to find I cannot understand any of it.

A week in Benidorm. An hour back in the convent. A minute when I thought that I had lost Mr soop.

I'm always trying to get to the exam room and keep getting delayed, or lost...

The exam nightmare crops up regularly. Not always finals - last time it was Higher Greek and there was an Aeschylus play I hadn't read. When I woke up I had to check to see if that play actually existed - it did.

Losing my sight.

Definitely exams but especially a maths exam... worst of all, though, the sort of question that begins 'If it takes a man 5 minutes to dig a hole........

Having to deal with rodents, dead or alive;

Nightmare of being lost with no money, mobile or transport and no means of

Other nightmare of being in a lift which just keeps going up and up unto oblivion.

Sr. Gabriel who was really horrible to me at school - she may well be 'downstairs' for all her sarcasm and nastiness - and her a nun too

Oysters, to which I have a violent allergy, which takes us back to throwing-up!
