make anyone else want to dance. Even though I'm sitting on a train listening to the radio on my phone!!!

There are certain tracks that when I hear them I really have to restrain myself from dancing - not ust ABBA. Does anyone else have the same problem? grin grin

yes...same hereblush

Not dancing, no - but I often get an almost irresistible urge to join in with the chorus of some songs. OK in the car but not really on a crowded train or in the supermarket...grin

Ana When I'm in the car or at home, I always join in with the chorus!

Deffinately! I hear a tune that we either have used or still use for Zumba & oh how I want to give it big licks ( well my version of big licks!!) but so far I'll only risk it in the confines of the 'Zumba' class.

I don`t feel like dancing, but just LOVE Abba anyway, always have, from day 1.

HUNTERF Mon 04-Mar-13 16:42:25

Abba was played for a substantial part of 1 of my bums and tums classes last week and a few sung along.

Abba's Winner Takes It All makes me want to sob. I remember them winning Eurovision with Waterloo. grin

Ella46 Mon 04-Mar-13 17:12:29

Dancing Queen does it for me grin

I like Happy New Year, and absolutely love Andante, andante.

Galen Mon 04-Mar-13 17:33:04

When I'm feeling blue all I have to do is put on ABBA!
I can't dance, in fact at the moment I can't even put my foot on the floor!
Obviously I overdid it yesterday, but can't think how as the only walking I did was round my house and its hardly the Hermitagesad

Grannyeggs Mon 04-Mar-13 17:48:59

It certainly makes me sing along, they were such great songs!

hummingbird Mon 04-Mar-13 18:08:11

Take it easy, Galen - you'll just have to nod your head in time to the music for the time being! flowers

Yes, Dancing Queen takes me back to my glory days!
I got some funny looks this week when I pulled up at roadworks with my windows open. My daughter had lent me some of her 60's, 70's and 80's CDs for my road trip and I was singing along to the Beatles. Obviously 'Yellow Submarine' was not what the workmen expected to hear from a white haired old lady!
I know I am old though, as I just cannot bear the type of pop songs that featured on 'The X factor' - all that wailing and shouting! Of course, my Dad said the same about Elvis.

I can imagine Money money money would be a particular favourite of yours

And winner takes it all

janeainsworth Mon 04-Mar-13 19:16:28

Yes. I always put music on when I'm ironing and frequently abandon the ironing board to have a little jive round the utility room grin
Or it might be a rumba to Roy Orbison [swoon emticon]

granniefinn Mon 04-Mar-13 20:08:59

When I am out walking and the tune of Rocky comes on in my head phones I want to start to skip and bounce around like boxer punching

Dancing Queen for me, love it, can't resist dancing round the kitchen (if alone)

However, if Eye of the Tiger comes on, I'm off with my aerobic routine from about 25 years ago! A friend was training as an aerobic teacher and used us a guinea pigs for her exams, so we had that routine so drummed into us, it's never left me. I can't quite remember all the steps - just wish I still looked the same in a leotard!

POGS Mon 04-Mar-13 20:47:17

Definately. Mamma Mia was a massive resurgence for them wasn't it.

The Bee Gees do it for me as well. ALL of the songs from Dirty Dancing.

numberplease Mon 04-Mar-13 21:14:03

Yes, well, the BeeGees are in a class of their own! On our holiday last year, all we listened to on the car cd player was Abba and the BeeGees.

Galen Mon 04-Mar-13 21:50:43

Mamamia! Oh yes!
I sit in my chair and move all the joints I can in time to the music!grin
I must look like an idiot?[hm]

Galen Mon 04-Mar-13 21:51:16

hmm b ipad[gron]

nanaej Mon 04-Mar-13 21:57:29

Dancing Queen..you HAVE to dance!

Gorki Mon 04-Mar-13 22:12:51

Mama Mia is a film I never tire of watching.I've yet to see the stage show but I hope to do so later in the year.

Nelliemoser Mon 04-Mar-13 22:24:14

Abba songs just do it for me as do the Beach Boys.
Everyone needs "feel good" music sometimes.
