Does listening to ABBA...............

It's giving me good vibrations!

I watched 'Mama Mia' AGAIN just last week and was bouncing all around the sitting room, much to my dog's alarm

ABBA definitely doesn't do it for me – just makes me switch off the radio.

Fernando is one of my favourites by Abba and Dancing Queen is required at the end of any party imo.

Is that in order to drive your guests out of the house glammanana? IT would certainly send me on my way pdq.

Just returned from Asda, where 'Chiquitita' was being played. Shoppers and staff of all ages were singing and swaying along the aisles, all smiling. It made shopping almost enjoyable.

It's good to see a thread where everyone is happy.

I have a dream is my favourite - toward the end of the 1990's I ran a club for people with learning, difficulties, and of course they all loved to sing and dance. We were fortunate enough to be asked to perform in the Studio of the local Theatre - nothing fantastic, we just rehearsed for months, and then let them do their own thing! However, we had a small group of absolutely lovely young people doing their Duke of Edinburgh Award with us, and they helped out enormously - I asked them of they would care to perform I have a Dream, whilst signing - Makaton - a simplifed version of sign language, and they agreed. A very kind speach therapist gave up her time to teach them, and it went down very well at the show - unfortunately, we have lost the film we made - but perhaps memories are the best.

ABBA is musical wallpaper – no one is going to have a tantrum about something so bland, second rate and boring janthea.

I went to see the stage production of Mama Mia with DD3, it was SO fabulous!
It's hard to pick a favourite song.....Dancing Queen, Thank You For The Music, Super Trouper....I'm jiggling about just typing the titles!

In the office on my own today- Dancing Queen on the radio - I was singing and swaying - thankfully no one came in

I certainly wouldn't agree with Absent - ABBA is what 'pop' music can be when it knows its backside from a hole in the ground - their recordings are beautifully crafted and highly musical in their arrangement. Benny and Bjorn both obviously knew exactly what they were doing...

As for dancing - never have, never will; but I saw a great deal of it from the bandstand - and I still don't understand what people thought they were doing!

Just come back from an aerobics class and they played an Abba CD.
The instructor said she is bringing a 60's CD in next week specially for us oldies.
Money Money Money was played tonight.
At the end we relaxed to Ben. I am not sure who the original singer was but it was one of my late wife's favourites.

Just looked it up on you tube and Michael Jackson did sing it.
It must be a fairly old piece as it was around for a long time when my wife was around and she passed away in 2003.

I felt down in the dumps today and Abba music cheered me up. My favourite song though is The Day Before You Came - so haunting and reflective.

Love everything ABBA did .

Has anyone else heard them sing Andante? My daughter found it quite by accident a while ago whilst looking at their stuff online, and it`s so beautiful.

I agree, number...one of my ABBA favourites. I am always moved when I hear - 'Winner Takes It All' - reminds me of a time when my heart was broken.
