A New Quiet room.. soft music and wine

Cooeee! Thank goodness for peace, quiet and goodwill... please may I take a seat in the corner and share some time with a gaggle of friendly Gransnetters...I'm sick to death of spitefulness.

There's a pot of coffee and a large plate of Scottish shortbread waiting. Shall I throw a log on the fire? Does anyone object to having Rory curl up on the mat? Do you have any special request for favourite music? Something sweet and low, perhaps?

While I wait for some company, I shall listen to Mitsuko Uchida playing Schubert's impromtus Op. 90 & Op.142 - music that lifts the spirit.

I've just got to put the washing on then I'll be back. Save me a piece of shortbread please!

It's male with an American twang. I don't know what I did but it just suddenly started doing it! Frightened the life out of me. Couldn't think what it was to start off with.

Certain voices are so soothing...I enjoy listening to Michael Gambon. And didn't Richard Burton have a velvety voice?

Need to put my feet up after standing around Manchester Airport for at least an hour - see Good Morning thread. Every time the door slid open, I expected to see GD and every time is wasn't her. I don't suppose anyone wants to massage my feet. No, I thought not...

Sorry Anno, I don`t "do" feet! I`m coming in to get away from the football and the abuse being flung at the screen!
