Prawn cocktail

God! I am SO hungry reading this thread, love prawns, love smoked salmon with scrambled eggs.......off to raid the fridge, on second thoughts may have to go for walk to AVOID the fridge.
I love these foodie threads, but they do cause havoc with the waistline!!

Well we've just eaten a huge local cooked crab, with a bottle of chilled wine, in the garden and watched the sun go down. Had to put our coats on in the end because it got a bit nippy ( the weather not the crab)

It's late, and my guests are tucked up in bed. We had champagne, no prawns but .......
Fennel Risotto followed by
Salad of roasted shallots, chickpeas and feta cheese with a honey and sherry vinegar dressing.... then
Brebis Cheese and nutty bread ..... and for pudding
Rhubarb and ginger crumble + creme fraiche

Music: Mandolin and clarinet played around the table.

A good evening with friends from afar.

I love adding prawns to hollandaise sauce and pouring over freshly cooked (in foil parcel in oven with a slice lemon) yummy add new pots salad or green beans.
