I understood this was on Radio 4 in the morning just before the 6 oclock news. But oh no. Bl***y pigeons chez nous have decided to do their own version, also just before 6 but from the apex of the roof over our bedroom window. We like to sleep with the window open but it is DEAFENING!! So I have to get our of bed, shut the window, go back to bed, try to get back to sleep.
Or should I just get a gun? grin #butmeanitactually

Yes, we have Lorikeets, Rosellas, big green parrots, and noisy cockatoos. One day my son, who was still at high school, rescued a beautiful bright green Lorikeet with an injured wing and nursed it back to health.

Rosella is the name of a parrot, and also of a fruit. My workmate used to make and sell Rosella jam, and just could not see the funny side when I insisted on calling it parrot jam.

Your Lorikeet sounds lovely inthefields
